Hey, I'm Usman.

I'm a CS + Math student at UTA who loves building real-world projects. I specialize in backend and internal tooling for business operations and infrastructure, but I can work on pretty much anything.

I've built multiple projects that generated real revenue, with one reaching $7K MRR and spikes up to $15K. My specialty is making things happen, taking an idea from concept to production efficiently. Now I'm looking for opportunities this summer to contribute and grow my skills.

What I've Built

I've built infrastructure and backend-heavy platforms that have served real users and generated real revenue. I've also built many side projects and freelanced for numerous clients.

Along the way, I've developed skills in internal tooling, automation, data handling, web scraping, API development, and more. I've created customer portals, backend business tools, customer support automation, server monitoring systems, and everything else a business needs to thrive.

My main project:

  • Built backend infrastructure to support over 3,000 paying customers
  • Handled hundreds of requests per second with consistent reliability
  • Processed tens of thousands in revenue through automated billing systems
  • Scaled from zero to $7K MRR with spikes reaching $15K in one year
  • Built monitoring, alerting, and admin tools to keep everything running smoothly

Smaller public projects are available on my GitHub.

How I Think About Building

I live and breathe efficiency. I love optimizing programs, reducing overhead, lowering costs, increasing revenue, and building systems that last. I try to make a real impact with everything I do, whether that's generating revenue or solving real problems for people.

I'm comfortable taking on medium-sized projects end-to-end: planning, development, testing, and deployment. I can build reliable dashboards, APIs, enhance existing systems, integrate AI into workflows, and more.

I'm looking to work with teams where I can take ownership of projects and deliver significant outcomes while learning and growing.

What's Next

I'm looking for a summer role (with potential to extend) at a small to medium-sized business, preferably in the DFW area, where I can make a real impact.

I'm very hands-on and excel at communication, constantly sharing updates and collaborating with my team. I do my best work on projects I care about, and I'm always looking for ways to improve and grow.

If you think I could help with what you're building, or if you have any leads, I'd love to hear from you.
