Recent updates

I hav been busy for quite a while...
assignment+3 tests filled up the last week b4 the 2 weeks holidays break starts...
n i survived from hell week..

Right at the start of holidays, wen to UMSA ball...
All the ladies and gentlemen dressed up nicely...juz for a couple of hours...

Few days after that, i went to ski!!!
The first time i wen was during my first yr..This time i tried ski again...i dun dare to try snowboard..as my shoulder doesn't allow me to do so...
i dun wan to hav another broken collar bone AGAIN...
Well..i guess i hav improved...
first time i was a beginner..learn everything from 0..
nw i hav advanced from beginner to intermmediate..
The next time i go..i would wan to try snowboard!!...it's so cool..

From Resolution Bay to Furneaux Lodge..~2 hrs of jungle trekking..tired but fun!!!This is the end of our walking journey in Queen Charlotte Track...

Day 3--Queen Charlotte Track

Day 3 at Picton

This was the backpackers that we stayed..
fully equipped v the basic facilities...
+ movie room+ Hot pool + strategic location...

We woke up early in the morning...
As we were going to experience the Queen Charlotte Track n Malborough Sound...

Our tour guide picked us up from the backpackers...
We were brought to the harbour...waiting to get onboard on TIRI CAT, heading for our first destination--Ship Cove...

Next, we went to Resolution Bay...by TIRI CAT again....
As it was a day tour...we dun hav much time to walk from ship cove to Resolution bay...which act takes 2 hrs for the journey...

We started our walking journey at Resolution bay...(start of pp's bad dream!!!)
Around 45 mins to reach scenic lookout...where we could hav our packed lunch...
Another 2hrs...to reach our final destination--Furneaux lodge...

Apart from trekking, u can do mountain biking as well...
n it's seriously quite a difficult trek...

Welly Trip Day 2 (cont)

From Welly to Picton

Okay..i din take a train to cross the Cook Strait to Picton..
There's no way for a train to cross the Cook Strait...
Me n Pp went to railway station as we arrived early at the Bluebridge terminal..
it was raining...n so...we had shelter in the railway station...keke..

There are act two companies providing ferry service...
Bluebridge n Interislander..
We chose Bluebridge as it is cheaper..
but Interislander had a bigger n newer ferry indeed..
Well..Budget still come first...bahzz..

This was our first time taking such a ferry...
indeed it is like a big big cargo ship...
Ship that u can always find near the harbour...

We were act kind of excited n amazed by the size of the ferry..
Wat we tot b4 was a smaller version of the ferry...smtg like this...

we could see thru the window...

the staff was busy getting all the heavy vehicles on board...

followed by the light vehicles such as ppl travelling v their cars or van...

After checked in our luggage...

we were given two boarding pass...

the whole process is juz like how u checkin in airport...

Then time for boarding the ferry...
Same procedure as u board the plane...
giv them the boarding pass n u can board the ferry...

The ferry was like 3 to 4 storey high..
the view from the deck is juz AWESOME...
But it was quite windy and cold...can't stay at the outdoor area for long...

Inside the ferry..there were a few lounge areas where u can rest n do ur own stuff...there were also movie zones cater for those movie lovers..restaurant n bar are available as well..

The journey from welly to Picton takes abt 3.5 hours..
n pig pp as expected fell asleep on the ferry...haha..
