Falcon is lightweight WordPress plugin that provide a list of optimizations and tweaks that help you improve the performance and user experience for your WordPress sites.
FEATURES & MODULES
Falcon offers a comprehensive list modules for you to tweak and optimize your WordPress websites. These options are divided into the following categories:
Disable components
General components:
- Disable Gutenberg (the block editor)
- Disable heartbeat
- Disable embeds, e.g. prevent others from embedding your site and vise-versa
- Disable comments & remove website field from comment form
- Disable revisions
- Disable self pings
- Disable privacy tools
- Disable cron
- Disable auto updates
- Block external requests
- Disable replacing text with formatted entities like smart quotes, dashes, ellipses, etc.
Media components:
- Remove jQuery Migrate
- Disable emojis
- Disable scaling down big images
- Disable automatic image rotation based on EXIF data

Header cleanup
- Remove feed links

- Disable REST API for unauthenticated requests

- Disable detailed login errors
- Block AI bots from crawling/stealing your content, which also affect the performance
- Force login to view the website
Cache
Falcon’s cache feature creates static HTML files of your pages, serving them instantly to visitors without processing database queries, or loading WordPress, themes and all plugins on every request.
Tweaks
- Search only posts
- Enable maintenance mode
- Remove query string for JavaScript and CSS files
- Set scheme-less URLs for JavaScript and CSS files, e.g. remove
http:andhttps:from URLs - Remove styles for recent comments widget
- Cleanup nav menu item ID & classes
- Asynchronous load CSS to avoid blocking load of CSS files

This plugin is simply great. It’s lightweight, unobtrusive, replaces a bunch of other plugins, and makes a site noticeably faster and cleaner. Definitely deserves more attention and installs!

Finally, after manually disabling all that stuff I don’t need in my Themes and wondering why it didn’t work half of the time, I can finally rely on a simple but powerful plugin. Thanks!

Firstly I would rate this plugin with 5 stars. However I found an issue in the Assets tab section for : Cleanup nav menu item ID & classes
It was enabled by default. So mega menu pages and mega menu drop down was not working. I had to disable manually and my menus are working perfectly. I would advise the developer to disable it by default so that majority customers don’t need to fix their menu not working issues.
