February 2015 (switching beds)

With the baby coming in March we decided to switch all the beds around at the beginning of February to make sure everyone had time to adjust before the baby comes.

It is a big deal when you take your kid out of their crib.  There is something nice about having them trapped in their bed.  Kyler was still doing great in his crib but with the new baby we had to move him to the toddler bed. This was his last night in the crib and I was kind of sad.

Karson has been in a toddler bed ever since Kyler was born so it was time to move him to a twin bed. He is our best sleeper and did great in this bed from the beginning.
His last night in a little bed.

Karlee could have kept her twin bed but we needed it for Karson so this is her last night in her bed.

So far he has done great.  He doesn't nap much anymore so by the time it is time for bed he is exhausted and pretty much falls asleep right away.

Karson got Karlee's bed and new bedding for Christmas from Grandma Vocana.

Our guest room will be the nursery so lucky Karlee got the queen bed.  She loves having a big bed and she also got cute bedding for Christmas from Grandma Vocana.

We also set the crib up in the nursery for the baby. Doing all this made me feel a little more ready for the little one to come!

January 2015 (John's Incredible Pizza Co)

Karlee got a certificate at school for a free pizza buffet from John's Incredible Pizza Co.  We didn't know what the place was but we decided to take the kids there one Saturday when we were driving to Modesto to find the hospital I'm delivering at. This place was a buffet with pizza, pasta, chicken, desserts, and more.  On the other side of the place was tons of games and a couple small rides.  The kids thought it was awesome!

January 2015 (10th anniversary)

January 22nd was 10 years since Jeff and I's first date!  I can't even believe that.  We had a pretty awesome first date.  We went to Applebee's and then to the strip to see Mystere, a Cirque du Soleil show. I couldn't believe he took me to such a nice show.  He says he always wanted to see a show on the strip so he figured he would take someone with him.  It worked out :)
To celebrate our anniversary we just got a babysitter and went to dinner and ran a couple errands.  Oh how our lives have changed in ten years.

the not so great pictures taken by Karlee!

January 2015 (Jelly Belly Factory)

Moving here hasn't been too bad but we miss our friends down south.  We especially miss the Thompson family.  Kyra was my first good friend when we moved to Lake Elsinore and our families became really close.  We did a lot of things together.  She was always inviting us to stuff and introducing us to people. When we moved I knew it was going to be hard to be away from them.  Luckily both Kyra and Matt are from Redding, which is a few hours north of here. They go visit their family at least twice a year.  We are right on the way so they can stop and stay with us whenever they are heading to Redding.  We got to see them on January 1st for a few hours while they were on their way to Redding for a two week visit.  Then on their way back we met them at the Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield.  They stayed the night with us both times so the kids loved having a sleepover with friends.

January 2015 (Dance)

Karlee started taking dance again after taking the fall off to play soccer.  Her teacher Miss Barbara is in our ward and just started teaching classes in January.  Karlee seems to love it so far!

January 2015 (Matchy Matchy)

Karlee was so excited to get a long black skirt for Christmas because I have one too. She wanted us both to wear ours on the same day.  It would have been cuter if we had matching tops but since I'm pregnant I have a limited wardrobe.

We did wear our hair the same.

We also had matching earrings.  It was fun!  I'm so glad she still thinks I'm cool and she wants to be like me.  I know it won't last forever.

March 2014

It rained on March 1st and this was a big deal for Southern California.  Living in Vegas and then So Cal our kids have really not seen rain (or snow) that many times in their life. Our backyard flooded a little and the kids just had to go play in it.

Karson and Kyler before church one day.  They are best buds!

Karlee had dress like a story book character and she chose Pinkalicious!

Kyler really wanted to go potty like his brother and sister. I let him try even though I knew he was way too young.  Karson sat down with him and read him a book while he tried. He didn't go but it sure made for a cute picture.

Karlee made a leprechaun trap so her and her classmates could catch a leprechaun on St. Patrick's Day!

The kids love to help me bake.  It usually means more work for me and a bigger mess but I do want them to learn how to cook and to help in the kitchen.

I got to go to Time Out for Women this year with some friends in Long Beach.  It was such an inspirational day filled with great speakers and singing by Hilary Weaks.

The kids had spring break at the end of March.  We went to the beach one day and enjoyed Cafe Rio and frozen yogurt with friends.

Karlee thought it would be funny to take some Halloween makeup and decorate her and her brother's faces one day.  They thought it was pretty funny too!
