OVERDUE
I know that I am behind on my posts! I am sorry to those of you who are eagerly awaiting an updated about our newest arrival. Each night I have good intentions of posting new pictures and updating our blog, but each night 8 pm hits and it is a race to get Brock in bed since his bedtime is 7:30pm, then Ella is in my arms for a feeding and lights out...but here are some basic updates and I promise more will come (including photos and stories).
Ella was born on December 1st, 2011 at 1:20 in the afternoon. She weighed in at 8 lb 7 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. It has been a pure joy adding her into our family. Brock is adjusting well and we are all loving having Tim around on paternity leave. Little Ella is growing fast. Each day I have to remind myself she is only a couple weeks old, but then she is already outgrowing clothes! Where does the time go?

Halloween
Grandma and Brock working hard.
We even took Brock Trick-or-Treating in the culdesack. However, my shy little guy did not want to dress up and he didn't want to say Trick-or-Treat. But our nice neighbors still offered him candy, which made Brock light up as we walked away from each house, and say "CANDY!"

Blue Eyes Looking at Me
When my boy was little, he was camera shy. It took everything we had to be sneaky to get a good picture of our little guy. Now, he runs around the house saying "Cheese" and always wants our camera to take pictures of himself.
Brock got our camera here.
I love this shot.
I could look into these gorgeous eyes forever!
B is for Big Boy Bed
The other day we were at Brock's cousins house. When it came time for Brock to take his nap, he had his choice between a toddler bed and the bottom bunk of a bunk bed. He chose the toddler bed without a doubt. He was so excited! He did great during his nap, even in a foreign place. So the next day, we decided to convert his crib to a toddler bed. Here he is helping daddy with the transition.
This is how you do it baby
The other day Brock and I were playing in the new nursery. Brock found this baby doll and when I told him that the baby dolls pajama bottoms were coming off, he looked, made a sound, and ran to the bathroom. Even though my son does not use his potty chair himself, at least he knows what it is for. The following sequin of pictures made me laugh.
Birthday Boy
Instead of a big bash this year, Brock had two of his buddies over. They played, had breakfast, and had some cake.
It was perfect.
If anyone knows my son, they know he is shy.
It worked out great and I think everyone had a great time and everyone was very outgoing.
