Long time no post

So we finally went on our first family vacation!  It was a blast, and it just so happened that the Brigham City temple open house was scheduled during out visit to Utah!  We ate a lot of food, went to the zoo, went to the living planet aquarium, went to Cabala's, and of course we went to Temple Square!  We especially liked going to the zoo with Jenny, Emma, Katy, and Jordyn!

After we got home I got busy making a few cakes again, one ballet, one vacation themed, and one octopus themed!  So fun!

Jake is getting so big!  He now has two teeth and wants more than ever to figure out how the crawling thing works, even though he has the rolling and the break dance spin thing figured out, it is still not enough!  He is six months old now and loves his best friend Kara!  She can make him laugh better than anyone it is awesome!

Kara is definitely turning into a big girl!  She has grown out of toddler size shoes, she loves learning, and she makes a totally awesome mini babysitter!  She is pretty good at play by plays when it comes to Jake!  She is just so much fun and I tell ya she came with a personality that just stands out!  Here is a picture of a zucchini she picked from the garden, it was huge so I took a picture.  The next pics are of her love of princesses.  She had been begging me to let her see my wedding dress and then once she saw it she wanted to try it on of course, which led to to a princess crown, which led to Cinderella hair, which led to "can I wear your wedding ring", which led to "take some pictures mom", which led to the totally hilarious poses that she came up with.  She has been watching Enchanted a ton lately so she was moving her arms like Giselle, all I can say is pretty darn hilarious!

Kiddos

Alright so here is a picture of my little Jake!  He is so sweet and such a good baby.  He is starting to sleep from 10 oclock to about 5oclock so that is nice!  He is also smiling which is sooo fun because Kara never smiled until she was like 4 months and even then it was pure luck!  His only issue is he gets car sick, or should I say any kind of movement sick.  I took him in the stroller and the car all in one day and he still hadn't recovered two days later!  Ryan was like that when he was born so maybe that should have been something I asked him before we got married! HaHa!  Below his pic is a picture of Kara when she was tiny.  They look just enough like brother and sister, but they still have enough differences to tell them apart!

Here is Kara in the tutu that grandma gave her for Christmas.  She usually won't wear it but I convinced her to for some pics.  Then the next day she had to wear to our friends house for dinner.  Crazy girl!  As we all know, she loves princesses and is obsessed with the movie enchanted where she proceeds to run through the house calling for Edward, and kissing random objects calling them her prince charming.  She also sings at the top of her lungs the song on there, you know the one where she runs through the park singing about how she knows he loves her, except Karas words are " How does her know he lubs her!" over and over and over and over, while she is holding Jakes hand and trying to dance with him!  We are also going shopping for some new clothes because as you can tell in this picture she has a hard time covering that long little torso of hers, and when I asked her what she wanted to get when we go shopping her exact words were " hummmm well maybe just some ball gowns"!!!!  I know, I am in big trouble!

Happy Happy Birthdays!

Well my pics uploaded funny so baby pics are at the end if that is what you are looking for!  First of all, Kara had her 3rd birthday on April 1st and let me tell ya she was one excited little girl!  She got some new clothes, a princess scooter, some way fun beads, some Cinderella dress up magnets and more!  ya of course she was spoiled, she loved it!  This is a picture of her sporting her beads from Grandpa and Grandma Simmons.

This is the funniest picture because the men of the family were all about playing with the beads!

These are Kara's princess cupcakes for her birthday!  She liked them but her only disappointment was that her cake was missing.  Talk about a mommy feeling bad about making cakes for everyone else but not her own daughter!  Looking at her sad eyes asking me where her cake was, I regretfully promised to make her a princess cake later.  The only problem is, she has big cake ideas like her mama and will know if I have downsized to make the cake a little less difficult.  I really need to be worried about when she turns 16!

Our little Jacob (Jake) Ryan Webster was born at about 7:40am on March 20th via c-section. The birth went well, in fact I was helping the doctor sing words to Garth Brooks 'I've got friends in low places, while he was sewing me up.  Jake weighed 6lbs 15oz and was 20 and 1/4 inches, which is a huge accomplishment for me since I was just hoping for a baby that weighed over 5lbs.  He is definitely a milk monster and has already gained a pound at his first appointment.  I am not kidding, this kid downs a 2 and 1/2 oz bottle in less than five minutes with no hold ups on burping, and that doesn't even last for very long, this gulping madness happens every two hours on the dot! We are so excited to have him here and healthy, I think the most excited one is Kara, she loves her little baby Jake and kisses him as much as she can, especially when mommy leaves the room.

Better Late than Never

Ok so I figured I had better post something new since Ryan even commented that I am past due for a post!  I also figure I will post once we have the baby so maybe that will get me back on track since we will be having out baby in two weeks!  Yay!  Kara has been extra excited for the baby to come and has been telling everyone we are naming him George, which we are not!  We dont know his name yet and we are totally excited because he already weighs a pound more than Kara did at this time!
Well we will keep you updated on the baby so on to other stories.......  we actually have gotten some decent snow even though the storm have been few and far between!  One of those snow storms brought us wet enough snow that we made this beauty!  The only problem is that the sun lately has put him on a diet and unfortunatly he has become severely anorexic!
Image

Next are just a few pics of my little princess.  She is all about princesses!  I always thought little girls who loved princesses had been brain washed by their mothers who wanted them to be girly, but I will tell ya, this little girl is all about the fairytales and can tell you most of them from beginning to end with Cinderella being her favorite of course.  The funny thing is that she doesn't even have much princess stuff, but believe me when I say she is good at inventing princess dresses out of anything she finds in the house!  She also is absessed with the Temple.  She tells me everyday that she is going to get married in the temple.  She is also very interested in wedding clothes.  Any jewelry she finds she pretends it is her wedding jewelry, and any white clothes she finds she considers a wedding dress.

I have been limiting my cake decorating because of the fact that I am already tired enough that I barely get our laundry done each week, let alone hours upon hours of cake decorating to stress over and deliver, but this cake I took on at about 7 months and it helped me make the decision to be done for a while!  Of course Kara bawled when we delivered it because it was a princess cake and she was tick that  it wasnt for her, but the little girl we delivered it to loved it!

Image

In other news, Ryan is just passing the time until hunting season comes back around!  He got a new calling as first counselor in the Elders Quorum and I am pretty sure he is more ready for the baby to come than I am!  He is a pretty patient man though what can I say!  We are doing great and cant wait to add a little boy to our family!  Check back in a couple of weeks and I will try to have some baby pics posted!

Updates

Ok so it has been a while again! Here are some pics from Halloween, yes I know Halloween! And yes in two days in is Thanksgiving! Kara was Minnie Mouse for Halloween and she has worn her Minnie dress everyday since. She has also come up with a whole bunch of new sayings such as "whoa mom, that was on the edge of dangerous!", and " mom I am freakin out", I think the funniest part is just hearing them come out of a two year old mouth, with the funniest little two year old voice!
ImageImage
Next are just some more cakes that I have been doing lately, which I have been a little more busy than I thought I would be, It's awesome!
ImageThese cakes I did for a 5 year old who was obsessed with superheros, he had a superhero themed birthday party. Each tier that I did represented one of his favorite superheros. If you can't guess what they are, first is the Hulk, under that is Torch, under that is Captain America. The next cake is Thor, under that is Green Lantern, under that is Thing. These cakes caused a little stress but let me tell ya I was pretty happy with the outcome!
ImageImageImageImageI have to brag on this next one because it was my very first wedding, well besides Nate and Kamille's, but can you count family when they felt obligated! Ryan my wonderful patient husband hand crafted the cake tower for me, which he also made me a square one as well! They turned out beautiful, I couldn't have wanted anything better!

First of all this is a picture of Kara's best friend Kade! Aren't they cute together! She can make him laugh even when he is grouchy! It is kinda funny how well they get along because of the age difference! Kara is 2 1/2 and Kade is 9 months!

So I decided to make this blog a priority because my computer cant handle too much and if I get too many pictures my computer will shut off before I can get my blog post finished! We have had a very beyond very busy summer and honestly I haven't taken hardly any pictures! We did go to the fair a few weeks ago, but the very bad mother that I am I didn't even take my camera, you should have seen Kara go to town in the petting zoo! She loved feeding the goats, especially the tiny little baby ones, she has a special spot in her heart for babies, she loves em! Also we have some fun news for our little family! There is going to be a new baby in our house for Kara to love! We are excited, I am only 3 months along now but everything is going good! I have been asking Kara a lot what she thinks we should name the baby and this morning she told me we should name it Apsird. That would definitely be one to add to the weird names I hear these days, I wouldn't be surprised if someone actually named their kid that! Anyway right after she said that she looked at me and said in a sassy little voice," Mom.....I not care! and it not matter!" Seriously she cracks us up every day!

Next are a bunch of pics of cakes I have done, baptisms, Tinkerbell, spiderman, superhero, flower power and others, all done for birthdays! This is actually months worth since these pictures started in July!

So Kara found a great new spot she loves to be. She actually asks me every for a chance to get into the ......... wait for it.....................gun cabinet! She also asks for a popkiss about 80 times a day!(by the way that means a popsicle). A very silly girl! We can't help but think she is adorable until............she throws up in the car on the way to Idaho Falls, and after putting her in a regular seatbelt and yelling at her to sit down and duck when the 40 million police officers I saw went by, we finally made it to kohls to buy her a new outfit to wear! Carrying her through Kohls mostly naked, got me a lot of ...what kind of mother are you looks that only got worse when I set her down and she proceeded to run throughout the store screaming with me chasing after her! I remember swearing up and down I would never have a child like that! Well there was nothing more hilarious you could have seen than me eating my own words in the Kohls department store!

This cake is for a little boy is my ward who is obsessed with John Deere tractors! He even wears his John Deere boots to church every week to prove it! I made some little John Deere boots and forgot to put them on the cake, that was a big darnit! I am pretty sure he will still like it though!
