Mikey Ambrose played the drums on the album! He is also my full time touring drummer!

Mikey learned a few songs on the spot. We would play through them a couple times then he would track it. Doing it this way I feel brought out a lot of instinct. Which in turn made it feel more raw and authentic!
This is Kait! She sings almost all of the back ups on the album and is another full time touring Gilbert member. Her voice is the female voice on “You’re The Most”.
Anthony Raneri would come by and keep me company.
All the Claps you hear on the album are done by my family! My brother Brian and my two little nephews. Brendan and Avery. Gilberts!
I played the bass on the album. I was missing my touring brother Audelio Flores! He tours with me full time.
One of my best friends and a favorite guitar player of mine, Josh Colbert, played some ditty’s on the album. He is an amazing songwriter as well. If you’re a fan of Further Seems Forever then you know what Im saying!
As I would finish parts on the album I would keep track by glueing heads of points of inspiration on the board!
This is my fiancé Hayley. She has never really sang before so I gave her a chance. Not sure if she could make it as a singer but it was nice having her on it.
Thanks for checking out the new What’s Eating Gilbert video for my song “You’re the Most”. My directorial debut! That’s what the pros say. I went about directing this video the same way I pretty much do everything creatively which is work hard and pretend I know what I’m doing. React from emotion in my brain, heart, guts, have a good time, and hope for the best. I think when we set out to accomplish goals we doubt ourselves because of expectations we set on ourselves or even comparing what we do to what others do. I’ve learned this is so counter productive because what we do from the inside and intuitively is what makes things unique and stand out. I won’t dive into what this video is about because I feel that would be taking away from the enjoyment and also the imagination of the viewer. I do want to share some pictures of all the things that went into it. From designing the room, building the set, styling the girls, and color matching everything with my album.

I’m
excited to announce that it is finally time for me to release the first
full length What’s Eating Gilbert Album, THAT NEW SOUND YOU’RE LOOKING
FOR, on July 10th! I say finally because I actually recorded these 12
songs in January of 2014! Why have I waited so long to release it? Well
as most of you know I play guitar in New Found Glory who have had an action packed last year and a half. Once Hopeless Records
told me they wanted to release this album we both decided it was best
to release it at a time when I could actually go out and play it for
you!
Album pre-orders and the first single will be available on
