Happy Easter!

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect Easter! The weather was beautiful and with 1 o'clock church we had plenty of time to do our Easter Egg Hunt, have breakfast, get ready, walk to church and still be 5 minutes early (which is pretty much a miracle for us)!

December

I'm a little behind, but here's what happened in December: We blessed Emily on the 4th. Image Image
Emily is still as patient as ever with her sisters who constantly kiss her, sit on her, and put things on her.
Image Despite the lack of snowfall in December the girls still managed to go sledding in our backyard.
Image Jane had her 3rd birthday on the 12th.
Image
We went to Temple Square with my brother and his family to see the lights.
Image Katelyn got the purple lipstick she asked Santa for for Christmas
Image and although it was too late for a Christmas card, we finally got a good family picture (except for the fact that I forgot Katelyn was wearing purple lipstick and I didn't notice that Jane had gum on her finger). Oh well. Happy New Year!!!

October

Wow, October was a busy month. We made a trip to California to introduce Emily to GG and Papa. And while we were there we had to squeeze in a trip to Disneyland and a visit with our cousins.Image
Image One of my good friends got married up in Sundance, which made for a fun date without any kiddos.
Image And I was able to see some of my other best college friends.
Image And then it was on to all of the Halloween festivities. First there was trick-or-treating at Jeff's work. Then a Halloween party, which we dressed up as the Publisher's Clearing House people.
Image We carved pumpkins, which Jane though smelled stinky.
Image
Image And finally the official day of Halloween came. Emily was our little bear...
Image and Katelyn and Jane believe it or not were princesses (Katelyn's first choice was a robot aka Ironman, but someone convinced her to be a princess instead).
Image And this was the point we had officially had enough...on to November.

Hallelujah!

We finally got rid of the binky!!!! And I say we because it was a sacrifice on all of our parts. Anyone who knows Katelyn knows how much she loves her binky and despite our MANY attempts to get rid of it, somehow the binky slowly kept coming back. We recently went to the dentist and he said if we didn't get rid of it now it could damage her adult teeth, so I tried using a little fear. I told Katelyn if she didn't stop using her binky it would hurt her teeth and we would have to go back to the dentist and get lots of shots (not a complete lie) and that did it. We went straight from the dentist office to the store to buy a balloon. When we got home we tied the binky to the balloon and watched it fly away. Then we went back inside and threw away all the others away so Katelyn (and mommy) wouldn't be tempted to use them later. And we've been binky free ever since. Yea Katelyn!!!! We're so proud of you!!!!

Balboa

My favorite thing every year was our family trip to Balboa Island (right by New Port Beach). It's been a while, but after a 12 year absence we finally returned and it couldn't have been more perfect.
Image Bathing Beauty, and yes we still have the Binky.
Image Waking up to these 3 every morning was delightful.
