Kindergarten Registration Begins January 2026
Registration for incoming kindergarteners for the 2026-2027 school year begins in January! Children who will be age 5 on or before September 1, 2026, are eligible to enter kindergarten. Visit our Registration webpage for important information and dates, including our Kindergarten Overview Meetings on January 21.
WHS Ranked Among Best High Schools
Wissahickon High School is proud to be ranked among the top 4% of high schools in the nation and among the best in the state by U.S. News & World Report in 2025! WHS placed in the top 4% nationwide, 3rd highest in Montgomery County, and 21st in Pennsylvania (or 17th when excluding special admission schools).

WSD Schools Designated No Place for Hate
All six Wissahickon School District schools have once again been officially designated as No Place for Hate Schools for the 2024-2025 school year! This incredible achievement reflects the unwavering commitment of our building leaders, students, and staff to fostering inclusive and welcoming environments.
Wiss SELebrates: Belongingness
Each month, our schools incorporate lessons and activities that support social emotional learning (SEL) skills -- self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision making.

WHS Pride
We are proud to serve more than 1,350 students in grades 9 to 12. WHS is consistently ranked one of the best high schools in Pennsylvania by U.S. News & World Report and was selected for a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the U.S. Department of Education in 2017.
