Last Post
I have decided to quit posting on this blog because I have been doing separate one's for my kids. I would rather make extra time to do theirs than this one. If you want to read them let me know! Adios Amigos

Oregon Day 3

My dad and Steve went crabbing together on day three of our trip while my mom and I hung out at the condo with the kids and played on the beach. I have to say this was one of my favorite days. Being on the beach is what I came to Oregon for. We went and bought some sand toys and a kite for our beach day. I learned that a two year old will only hold onto a kite for about two seconds and then quickly get bored.:) Lucas was pretty funny with the ocean water. It took him a while to warm up to it. He wasn't too sure about how it would go out and then sneak up on him. He loved playing in the sand though:)
Later on that day we went to Newport and trip crabbing off the pier. It was really windy and I quickly realized that crabbing, as fun as it is, is not the best activity to do with young children. Later on we went back and cooked up some crab and ribs and had a feast!
I also forgot to mention that we went to Newport after shopping and walked around their little shops and saw the sea lions. Lucas thought the sea lions were pretty neat and liked when they made their barking noises.

Oregon Day 2
On day numero two of our vacay my mom, Taylor, Steve and I went sssshhhoping! They have huge outlet mall there so how could we not go? My dad, being the brave soul he is, offered to hang out with Lucas at the condo while we went. Giddy up kik ko my my....sorry I was just a little excited to not go shopping with my two year old. I love that kid to pieces but I knew we would be there for a while and he would not love it. While we were there my dad calls my mom and says " Lucas is telling me he is poopy, what do I do??!!?!?" My mom laughed and told him to change him! Now if any of you know my dad you just gasped and have your hand over your mouth b/c seriously, my dad change a diaper,a poopy one at that, not gonna happen! Needless to say he bucked up and did it! I' am going to write that one down in Lucas's journal b/c there are very few grandkids that can prouldy say, " My grandpa changed my diaper."
Later on we hung out on the beach and went out to eat at Mo's, which was only a couple blocks away. Good day, good day.:)

Oregon Day 1

On our first day in Oregon we went to the Tillamook cheese factory and the air museum. The ice cream was so delicious and the air museum was a lot of fun. Lucas loved looking at all the planes and helicopters. The last time I came to Oregon was when I had just turned 16 and was with my mom and dad. It is fun going to these places again now with kids of my own. We also stopped at a waterfall along the way. Our kids did so good traveling all the way there. We all rode in Steve's truck so it was a little cramped but we made it!
We stayed at a condo in Lincoln city that had a bay view. I loved being so close to the ocean.

Get Yer Boots On!
This past weekend was the Williams family rodeo. It is always something looked forward too each year. It is fun meeting new family even though I won't remember half of their names:) I ended up going to Idaho Falls the Wednesday before to help get things ready. It is nice to go early but it sure is hard to be a single parent for a couple of days. Thanks to all those who helped with my kiddos!
Lucas absolutely loves his Grandpa's. Here he is wrestling Grandpa Williams.

At the Passey's house they were teaching people how to do the Hannah Montana dance, here is Kelly giving a go at it:)
Kolton trying to squeeze into the train cabooses:)
Lucas loves I mean loves trains, so you can imagine how ecstatic he was to ride on this. I don't think he got off the whole time it was running:)

On Saturday we went to Rigby Lake for a couple of hours and had fun in the sand and water.

Later that night we had a feast of hamburgers, onion rings, french fries, soft serve ice cream and tons of yummy salads and desserts. Usually we do kids games after dinner. Right after everyone got done eating and starting to head over to the games and huge wind storm blew in. This wasn't a measly wimpy storm, it blew tents over and it was just painful to stand in it. Needless to say you didn't want to be in it so we skipped the games and started the rodeo. There was about nine gentle easy going horses that the kids loved riding.

Lucas rode a sheep and liked it until he fell off:)

They had three legged races, sack races, egg toss, a candy find in the straw and a bunny catch.

By Sunday we were all exhausted, it's always fun to go but it sure is nice to go home!

Taylor's Tuesdays

I know it's been a while since I have done this but I have decided to make two new blogs for each of my children that I will print out in a year for them. Anyway, Taylor is 12 weeks today! I have found that time passes quickly with children, especially after your first:) She is a great sleeper and loves to be cuddled. Two weeks ago at her Dr.'s appt. she weighed 11 lbs 12 oz and was 23 in. long. She is such a sweet baby. This past week she has decided that she has become quite the mommy's girl and becomes upset when someone else holds her. She loves to smile. It has been fun to see the differences between her and when Lucas was her age. He was much more serious and we had to jump through hoops just to get him to smile:) It is fun to watch them grow and discover new things:)

The 4th of July in Salmon
This past weekend we planned on going to a Williams family reunion. It ended up being moved to a different date but Steve took time off so we wanted to go somewhere. We ended up going to Salmon. It was supposed to be a four hour drive but due to construction it ended up being five! Good thing we bought the DVD player right before we left:)

There was a ton of deer. Every morning they would always be in the pasture right outside the cabin. Lucas had fun watching them, especially so close!
We went to the parade they had there. Lucas had a great time watching all the big trucks and of course the candy!

Later after the parade we went to the Sacajawea center. They had a nature walk with different posts to stop at and read about the history of that area.

On the fourth we decided to go check out Williams Lake, which my sister heard was good for boating and was only 15 miles away. Lets just say we ended up going 15 miles up in the mountains on dirt roads to get to it. It was totally worth it when we got there. Imagine traveling far into the mountains and then finding this lake surrounded by them. Of course I didn't bring my camera so we took a couple with Steve's cell.

Later that night we did our own fireworks display and waited until 10:30 for the city's to start. Lucas was so worn out from the day but stayed up long enough to try out some sparklers:)
We had a a really great time and ended up taking the scenic way home. I love living in Idaho and going to all its different beautiful places.
