Here is the stuff I wanted to finish last night....

Here a few more of our memories from the past year.....

This past year we did alot, we worked hard and played even harder.  We sold 3 of our mule colts, and bought a team of draft horses,a couple of wagons & some harnesses,  I got a new barrel racing prospect and we bought our first truck together.  Tom had knee surgery and broke his pinkey finger which required a plate and 5 screws to fix, I had my gallbladder out, kidney stones and blood clots in my lungs (yuck).  We built a chicken coop, and were quite the chicken farmers for awhile there I think at one time we had 25 chickens! I raised baby chicks in the house and bottle fed a lamb all spring.  I think Tom was about to go crazy.  We got our first dog together (sasha doesnt count I already had her) Hannah the hound who tore our house to pieces, she was definetly not meant to be a pet, I found her a home where she was going to chase bears and lions :)
We roofed our rental house and Toms parents house together, loaded hay, hunted and did almost everything together...I even got the opportunity( I guess thats what ya call it) to help Tom put on the Central Utah Engine Academy on Ephraim, we went to many Volunteer Fire Department gatherings, pulled plenty of politicians in our wagon in all the parades in Sanpete county, we spent lots of time with our families, and daydreamed big time every time we had a chance whether it was from building our barn, house, fixing the rental house, anything your wildest dreams could imagine and we loved each other the WHOLE time( even when I argued & was extremely stubborn & yelling I never stopped loving you)
LOVE YOU BABE!

I also forgot to add what each of us got for our anniversary:  Tom and I had come up with a brand for our livestock & horses, it is a windmill based from the windmill that Tom's grandpa had built at the pasture. I registered the brand & the brand itself is in the process of being made.  Tom got me an awesome sourdough crock & whiskey jug made by a potter in town.  We had stopped by the shop last week & Tom knew I was admiring them since I have been adamently making sourdough lately :)  He also told me that he thought that it would be something I could pass down to our grandkids :) I just love him :)

OnE yEaR already can you believe it??????????

September 27th 2008 I married the neatest guy in the whole world! Did we try to kill each other this year?....Sometimes.....Was it worth it? Hell YEs! :)

I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would get married & settle down but Ive been proved wrong.  I love you Tom its been a great year & Im so excited to spend many more with you by my side :)

My new favorite song for this month is Alan Jackson's Home I had completely forgot all about this song until the other day My favorite part:

"They married young like folks did then, not a penny to their name.
They believed the one you vowed to love should always stay the same.
On the land his daddy gave them, foundation under way for a love to
last forever or until their dying days, they built a bond strong enough to
stand the test of time"

I just love that & believe with all my heart this describes our marriage.
Love you Sweetie xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox

I wanted to add more pics but blogger is being dumb so I will add some more later...

On saturday we also went riding to try to help Toms dad find a deer.  Me, Tom & winston rode horses through the pine, up & down incredibly steep stuff I rode the mustang whom I have been a little skeptical about, (but I guess if I was from the desert & had never seen anything I'd be a spooky freak too) unitl now.  He did amazing did I get pics NO why would I do that?! Actually this time I do have an excuse Tom had a fire friday night set by 4 little boys & they had to do a big investigation then he left the engine with the camera with Shiloh so we could go up north so its really his fault lol :)

Long time no talk...

Well it has been quite sometime since I last wrote....My sister in law Tami who I might add is a faithful blog follwer reminds me weekly on the weekends I am home I have not updated my blog :) I love it!

MeRee & Daniel were married Spetember 5th it was a beautiful wedding & I had the opportunity to take the pictures...which I hope turned out ok? Congrats you guys best wishes for a long happy life together!

Later that day we hiked to the bottom of the horseshoe..Image.now when I say "we" I mean the whole family! even the smaller kids, to get my new obsession the trail cam! I love that thing best freakin $ I ever spent :) We had a great time I wasnt sure how my lungs would hold up on the way up, but I did better than I thought I would. Tami did make the other adults look dumb when she practically ran up the mountain on our way up! thanks Tami ;) Love ya

Other than that Its pretty much been school for me work for Tom, I know our lives are seriously exciting!

My thorobred is coming along nicely...Tom swears she is a freakin psycho (which I have yet to determine..) but he is out there working her every night while Im at school I love him & he loves that horse I know it! Ok OK so maybe he likes her ...alittle... but he doesnt want you to know it Oh & its just because he does not want me to get hurt :) Big Softy :) She has come a long way from the awesome ground work that Tom had done with her (thank you Clinton Anderson & RFD TV) & has put on some weight & doesnt look so crappy. I could watch Tom work horses all day long ...he has the most quiet amazing demeanor with them & he is incredibly sexy....mmmmm....where was I? SoRrY! better wipe the drool from my keyboard :).................:)

Another thing I have been working on is my genealogy. you really dont realize how important it is until you are 27ish & realize that you know absolutely little to nothing about your ancestors! So now this has been bothering me & I have made it my personal mission to figure all this out> I have sooooooooooooooooo many questions. Its been neat, my mom has quite a bit of hers already done. My dad's side of the family there isn't much done, so I have got my dad involved in the research! hopefully next time I write I can tell you an amazing story about my ancestors! Family history is so so important & I want to be able to tell our children all about this sort of stuff.... ok so maybe Sasha isn't all that interested but who knows? LOL

Tom & I went camping last weekend & took the horses up to Philadelphia flats. Did I take pictures NO!!!!!!!! but nevertheless we had a great time. Sasha even crawled in my sleeping bag & slept right next to me. Tom's mule hates hobbles & my poor palomino is sooooo fat & preg I'm sure that she didn't enjoy being rode because every time I got on her she let out a huge *sigh* poor baby she's only got a few months left.

Last but certainly not least!....I have toyed with the idea of starting a photography business. I love love love taking pictures & think it would be neat to do it professionally My good friend Rachael was so nice to volunteer her 3 adorable kids last weekend here are some of their so cute pics..Image

So I need some models to build my portfolio. any volunteers???

~Sick days,school days, and everydays~

Well I haven't wrote for awhile...where do I start? About 2 weeks ago I got awfully sick. I had kidney stones on both of my kidneys so they admitted me in the hospital hooked up to a PCA pump ( pain med where you push the button), the next day I went to Utah Valley to have Lithotripsy done which is where they use shock wave type things to break up your kidney stones, they also placed a stent in my kidney. sounds yucky I know, it gets worse, I came home from the surgery & wasn't feeling great, but the next day Tom's boss Marve brought me a Filly off the track that is 3 she is so pretty, but my ankles were so swollen & I felt so yucky all I could do was pet here & put her away & go home. I got home & could not breathe Tom rushed me to the ER & after blood work & a CT scan they determined that I have pulmonary emboli in my lungs ( what does that mean multiple blood clots, which if you know anything about anything people die from!) Freaky I know I bawled, so 2 more days in the hospital with horrible lovenox (heparin) shots in the tummy & coumadin later I got to come home. SO long horrible story short I now have to be on the coumadin ( blood thinner) which freakin old people take for 6 long months I have so far had to have my blood checked once a week, last week it was too thick. I know I sound like a baby BUT to check my blood instead of actually drawing from a vein they prick my finger & I HATE HATE HATE it! ok I'm done Also this means I have to be very careful to not get hurt or cut doing anything because I will BLEED! literally Oh & if that's not enough for ya I have a hard time breathing, my lungs don't quite expand like they should So pretty much I'm gonna just sit on the couch & do nothing that way I don't get hurt & can breathe, well unless of course I fall off LOL :)
In other news.....Tom has been busy again with fires, I have started school again in Cedar I have 3 classes left to finish my Bachelors in Biology, I'm staying with Em & Kev during the week & they are taking great care of me. My classes are good, although my 1 professor is a whack job! He looks like a mad scientist so at least, he will be entertaining, the other 2 classes are taught by a professor that is my friend so I love that She is an amazing teacher & I could listen to her lecture all day!

Busy dayz...

Wow! we have been soo busy lately! Last weekend some of Tom's extended family came to visit from Alaska. It was neat to meet them. We had a great time...awesome BBQ (thanks to Merlene's cooking), hooked up the big horses and took them for a wagon ride around town But most importantly I learned 2 things:
1. That in Alaska when you are over the age of 60 you can hunt, fish & trap for free (you don't have to pay for a license)
2. that lots in Alaska are only like $7000
Pretty tempting to retire there huh? :)

This morning Tom informs me that he is having a BBQ for lunch at our house for the entire Central area FFSL......thanks for dropping the awesome bomb babe, but being the little superwoman that I am I whipped out an awesome BBQ complete with dutch oven apple cobbler! thank you, thank you I will accept my wife of the year award later

Tomorrow is gonna be a great day my friend Rachel & I are going to ride our horses up to the Horseshoe, which is like a 5 hour ride of peace & solitude! I promise to post pix I suck at doing that! ~laters

getting home & back to life....

Well I finally made it home from vernal on the 1st of August. not a whole bunch has been going on since then....I got offered a detail to go to Washington, but then turned down the order when they wouldn't authorize paying for my rental car & I wasn't about to pay out of pocket for it!
We took our horses for a ride the other night & I'm not sure what got into them but they were sure full of it & feeling good. I was ponying the mustang behind my horse & had him dallied to the saddle horn ( which is how I always ride when I take the 2 of them) & Tom tells me that I shouldn't dally him to my horn...so for the sake of not arguing I undallied & just led him well as soon as we got up the road a ways he hung back & I had to let go so the mustang goes running down the street full speed towards this lady who is walking 1 dog & carrying another. She starts screaming!!!! lol I know it probably scared the hell out her but all we could do was look at each other & laugh. Morgan our neighbor out there walked out & helped us catch the horse who was clearly feeling better ( he has been hurt for a couple weeks) & we went home BUT the moral to this story is I DO KNOW WHAT I'M DOING TOM!!!!!!!
in other news.....Tom had a fire last night & didn't get home until like 1130. Usually he is tired & doesn't want to tell me all the details, he just wants to go to sleep....but he woke me up & told me that the reason the fire started was because a little old man was trying to burn weeds & it got out from under him..when they arrived on scene they found the old man passed out in the grass near the fire from exertion...the ambulance checked him out & he was fine The old man started to cry & told Tom there was no way that he could pay for starting the fire, all he owned was the camp trailer that he lived in, a dog & 2 pigs & he hadn't eaten in 2 days....that's heartbreaking.....then my husbands favorite boss insisted that they "investigate" the fire, Tom told me last night that the poor little old guy had nothing & when it came time for him to hand in the investigation paperwork & suppression costs he may "accidentally" loose them.....This is why I love Tom so much! He has such a great heart & is such a caring person who would give the shirt off his back to help anyone out :) Love you babe xoxo

AHHHHHHH....!!!

Well let me just tell you about my lunch break today...I'm still in Vernal; I walk out of the fire center to go to lunch and notice my car had a flat tire....not too big of a deal considering I had the same flat tire 2 days ago...So I drive to maverick to see if I can put some air in it to see what was going on..
As I pull into maverick this guy in this ratty old junker of a car gets out & comes over to my car. He tells me he noticed I had a flat & would see if he could fix it. Well after trying to put air in the tire, no air would go in......So this guy tells me to pull over there in the shade on that corner & he will put the spare on.....OK by this time I get this weird feeling because he reeks of alcohol, so I'm pretty nervous & it doesn't help that I watch way too many Cold Case Files, way too much Law & Order & CSI , and way too many MURDER shows on A&E. I start thinking to myself that I should just take it to American Car Care & have them fix it AGAIN..so I tell Mr. drunk scruffy man that is what I am going to do.....thinking that he will let me be.....BUT oh no he says I will go over there with you.....(oh shizzz!), He tells me his name is Art & that he grew up in Salina..( I'm pretty sure that's what all murderers say...) *sigh*
So to make a long story short I go to the tire place, they fix the tire, then Mr drunk scruffy guy tells me to are you ready for this?: CALL HIM 'WHEN I GET HOME SO THAT HE KNOWS I MADE IT THERE SAFE' ( can you hear the CSI music playing in the background...)
what the freak else do I do but scribble down his # & got the H. E. double hockey sticks outta there!
Yes Tom.... I will be getting my concealed weapons permit! Can we go pistol shopping when I get home? :)
