Syria’s Army Operations Command said Tuesday that the army has begun withdrawing from the outskirts of Hasakah in northeastern Syria, with internal security forces deploying in implementation of an agreement with the terror group YPG/SDF.
Witnesses and other local sources, however, accused security forces of using excessive force to prevent the demonstration, which was held in support of the STC and its chief, Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, and called for the independence of southern Yemen.
Meanwhile, a joint team of security forces and the ForestDepartment destroyed around 70 acres of illegal poppy cultivation in the Sihai hill range under the Ukhrul police station in Ukhrul district.
