Wonky Bee for ME :)

December has arrived and I just want to say THANK you to a wonderful group of ladies for making blocks for me this month.   Kits have been mailed out and you should be getting your fabrics any day now.. Here's a sneak peak at the block design I am asking for... You make it anyway you want... Only request is that the third border be the Cream.. :)

Wonky Catchup Here I am....

Well I've been busy working on OT and haven't been able to make it to the post office when they are open.  I hope to get my packages mailed this week... HOPING HOPING HOPING... Please forgive me Teressa for being late...

Here's a peak at your blocks though.. :)  I am not going to trim them..I hope that's okay.   I couldn't resist adding the Christmas lights to your blocks :) 

Hayley!  I LOVED your block TOO!  I finished it up yesterday.  IT was so much fun to make. I plan on using this idea on a mini quilt/table runner!  WHAT FUN!!!!

Hello all!!! I almost forgot to post about these!! I was able to get all 3 blocks done. They were nice and easy to do and took no time at all. They are going out in the mail today. Can't wait to see them all together!

Hello my fellow wonky friends! I hope everyone is enjoying the long week-end

My package from Kathleen took it's sweet time getting here and therefore it went out a little later than I would have liked. It came in on Monday, I got the block done on Tuesday and I can't get a ride to the city until  this upcoming Tuesday. Very sorry about that!!

I am so happy! I've received all of my Wonky-Mod-Circles!!!

And they are all fantastic!

Kathleen's Wonky August Block...

August has arrived and it's Kathleen's Wonky Month.  She chose the Wonky Cross.  I finished mine tonight and decided to take a picture of it on my little quilt stand.  I figure I need to start using it... So 12.5 inch blocks are gonna be featured on it from now on.  I have lots of flowers in my yard to chase around so I should have lots of pictures to share..hahaha.

And Kathleen sent a pix of Laurel's block out as well.. So I figure I'll add it here.  I can't wait to see all the other fun blocks that get made... :)

This is a super easy, quick and fun block to make.   I might just have to add this to the quilt making list. :)

July Block

I got my package in the mail at the end of last week and just couldn't wait to start this block! I love log cabin quilts and have started to really love making wonky log cabin blocks too. I had never made one using the tutorial Stephanie picked out for us so that was pretty exciting too!

I really felt like I got WONKY cutting out the fabric and cutting it again after I sewed on the logs....but it looks pretty unwonky....LOL what the heck how does that happen....maybe its the angle of my picture. I stuck the block to the wall and it too all the wonk out....LOL well that is my story and I am sticking with it!

Nonetheless, if you couldn`t already tell I had a lot of fun making this block! I will get it in the mail tomorrow and hopefully it will make it to the US sometime in the next 4 weeks. BTW at the post office here there is a HUGE sign that says packages to the US take 4-6 business days and letters take 2-4 business days. Since I have been able to send almost everything without having to send it though customs (i just say there is only paper in there....sneaky sneaky. Okay I tell the lady its Quilting Bee Blocks and she doesn`t know what that means. I say fabric and she says so like paper....and I say sure....LOL) it should only take 4 days MAX not 4 weeks....LOL

July is all about the Wonky Log Cabins

Our Wonderful Wonky Bee has started our July Blocks! And Stephanie is our Hostess... I received Stephanie's Fabric pack just before I left for camping last week... I couldn't wait to get home and start working on this fun BLOCK!!

Stephanie has chosen the Wonky Log Cabin!   I Love how easy this block goes together....  Stephanie is also a blogger and She blogs over at Stephanie's Stitches.    Her Fabric pack included lots of Batiks... FUN FUN Fabrics!!  I couldn't resist adding one little tiny splash of my own.. *giggle*  can you guess which one it is?? *wink*

Lots of fun and looking forward to the upcoming months of projects!   Thank you ladies for doing a great job and for being a Wonderfully Wonky group of ladies!!!

Hello everyone!

My lovely little package finally arrived this week and I thought I better get my butt in gear so I could have it in the mail by the 30th!

Luckily our June block wasn't too hard for me and I was able to get it done pretty darn quick.

 I would like to thank everyone in the group who posts pictures of their finished blocks.... THANK YOU!! I really enjoy seeing what we get to make before my package arrives in the mail. I am also pretty new to quilting so I really love to go back and look at everyone blocks for reference once I do get my package. It really takes the stress out of making the blocks!

Okay before I ramble on even more...Here is my block.

I was toning back my wonkiness since I felt I went too wonky last month and now this might not be wonky enough...LOL Nonetheless, I had a lot of fun making this block. Can't wait to see what the next 6 months brings!!

May block finished

Well, I FINALLY finished Cherry's block.  Cherry, I am so sorry it took until June to finish!  I just finished it this evening, so I will be taking it to the post office tomorrow.  I LOVED making this block!  It is such a great pattern and has given me some great ideas for a new project.  Of course I have to finish a few others first or my hubby might just strangle me! :)  hehehe  Thank you for such a fun project.  After 2 applique projects now, I am hooked!  Cherry, I hope the block turned out how you invisioned! 

June Wonky Bee

So excited... I received Laurel's Wonky Block Kit in the mail today!  I LOVE STARS!!!!   Can't wait to get started!  Going to have fun going Wonky...and I love the idea of a few Triple Star blocks to mix in to coordinate!  HOW COOL!

Post a pix when you can...will be working on this one very soon!!!! :)

***Update 6-5***  I happen to have some of the background fabric she sent us in my stash... So I couldn't resist the stars... I added one more fab from my stash and came up with these beauties!  Hope Laurel likes them *wink*

I am so sorry, that it took me way to long to get these done, but I am going to the post office right after I get my emissions test done on my Jeep and your blocks will be on there way...  Sorry again for taking so long...Here's what they look like.. :)

April and May Blocks

Hello fellow Wonky Ladies! I hope everyone is having a wonderful week end.

I thought I would play a little catch up and post my April and May blocks all in one post. Leah should have my blocks by now... I hope!! I had a little trouble with the large block as I didn't have enough fabric to make the last part of the block. Which is why it is hiding on this picture...LOL

 For the scrap project it was fun to revisit this block. I had to do a lot less ripping this time :P

For Cherry's block I think my circles might look more like eggs......but they are wonky and I hope they are okay! I used the templates and then tried to make them a little wonky and now I don't know if I am happy with them...shoot...Nonetheless, I had a lot of fun putting this together! I still have the stitching left to do which brings up a question. Are we doing hand stitching or machine stitching?
