Installation & Configuration

Installing the Preloader plugin for WordPress is easy. Follow these simple steps:

  1. Download the plugin ZIP file — get the free version from WordPress.org, or the premium version after purchase.
  2. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
  3. Go to Plugins > Add Plugin > Upload Plugin.
  4. Click “Choose File” and select the downloaded zip file.
  5. Click “Install Now”.
  6. After installation completes, click “Activate Plugin”.

After activation, you will find “Preloader” menu in your WordPress admin dashboard. Now follow these steps:

  1. Go to the “Preloader” menu, now you will find all the Preloader Settings.
  2. Click on the “General” tab:
    1. Enable the preloader.
    2. Set the general settings (image, background color, etc.) if you want to use a GIF image, or simply choose a template from the “Templates” tab.
  3. Now click on the “Display” tab:
    1. Select where to show the preloader (entire site, homepage, posts, etc).
    2. Choose who sees the preloader (everyone, visitors only, or logged in users only).
  4. Click “Save Changes”.
  5. Clear your site’s cache if you’re using a caching plugin.
  6. Finally, if the preloader doesn’t show, click on the “Integration” tab, and follow the instructions there.

Preloader templates are ready-made loading animations built with HTML and CSS3, no more than 2KB in size compared to GIF images, which means better website performance and user experience.

You can target WooCommerce products, a single product by its ID, any page/post, or even the entire site. It’s lightweight and effective, we even used it in the demo!

Recommend: If you want to use the Typing Effect template to promote a coupon with a long preloader delay (e.g. 10 seconds), we recommend enabling the Cookie-based Display feature. This way, the preloader won’t show again for the same visitor, so they won’t have to wait every time they visit your site until the period set in the “Cookie Expiry” field ends. Cookie Expiry Field: Set how many days to wait before showing the preloader again for each visitor/user. For example: “7” means after showing the preloader to a visitor/user, it will not show again for that visitor/user until 7 days have passed.

Cookie Position Options: There are three different positions you can choose from. Here’s the difference between them:

  • While loading means: Set cookie immediately when preloader shows.
  • While fade means: Set cookie when preloader starts fading out.
  • After fade means: Set cookie after preloader has completely faded out.

Activate License

After purchasing and downloading the premium version, deactivate the free version if it’s installed on your site. Then install the premium version like any other WordPress plugin. Then follow these simple steps:

  1. Now, go to the Preloader menu > Activate License.
  2. Enter your API key in the “API Key” field and click “Activate”.

An update notice will also appear on the Plugins page if an update is available for the Premium version. However, we recommend downloading the update from the Update Center before installing it, so that if anything goes wrong during the update, you can still install it manually. Restore Purchase

Licensing FAQs

  1. Can I use the Premium version after purchase without activating my license?
    • You can use our products without activating your license. Activation is optional. However, without activation, you won’t receive automatic updates. But you can download updates manually from your SellAny account.
    • Please note: not activating your license does not allow you to use the product on more websites than your license permits. For example, if you have a Single License, whether you activate it or not, you may only install the product on one website. If you want to move the product to another website, you must first deactivate or remove it from the first website before installing it on the new one. Please respect these usage limits to ensure compliance with the license terms.
  2. How to Manually Install an Update?
    • After downloading an update (zip file) from SellAny to your device, deactivate the current version on your site and delete it. Then, install the update like any other WordPress plugin. Don’t worry, after manually updating, all the premium version settings and options will remain saved, and you won’t need to adjust them again!
  3. Can I move my license to another site after it’s been activated?
    • Yes! You can revoke your license key on a website and then activate it on new one. Our licenses are flexible and allow you to transfer activation between sites.
  4. What’s the difference between Single, Extended, and Business licenses?
    • Single License: Allows installation and activation on 1 website.
    • Extended License: Allows installation and activation on 5 websites*.
    • Business License: Allows installation and activation on 40 websites*.
    • *For the Extended and Business licenses, you are free to use the product/license on both your own websites and your clients’ websites — as long as the total number of sites does not exceed your license limit.
    • We reserve the right to increase the activation limit for any license without prior notice.
  5. If I purchased a product with a one-time payment, will I receive lifetime updates?
    • No, a one-time payment does not mean you will receive lifetime updates. We sell the product as-is, connected to our update server to notify you when updates are available, through which you can download and install updates.   1. How can I show/hide the preloader on specific pages?
    • With the premium version, you can show or hide the preloader on specific content using their IDs — perfect for targeting individual pages, posts, WooCommerce products, and more. Want to show preloader only on your important landing pages? No problem! You got it!
  2. How can I add a delay before the preloader fades out?
    • With the premium version, you can add a delay (in seconds) after page has finished loading, before the preloader starts to fade out. For example: setting value to “3” means the preloader will stay visible for 3 seconds after page has finished loading, then start fading out!
  3. Is it possible to hide the preloader on mobile devices?
    • With the premium version, you can disable the preloader based on screen width. Just set your desired width (like 960px for tablets and phones), and the preloader will be automatically hidden.
  4. Can I show the preloader only once per visitor/user?
    • Absolutely! With cookie-based display control in the premium version, you can show the preloader once then hide it for a set number of days. Great for returning visitors who don’t need to see the preloader on every visit.
