The Work Place Clearance Group (WPCG) is a joint venture between bp, Ampol Australia and Viva Energy Australia (the exclusive licensee of Shell branded Service Stations). 

The WPCG training/accreditations are required by anyone who needs to conduct work on one of the oil companies facilities. There are three different training programs.

RETAIL SITE INDUCTION

• The Retail Site Induction covers the expectations, rules and procedures when on WPCG member company facilities.
• Everyone on-site must have completed the induction if they are not a Work Clearance Issuer .
• The program takes approx. 35mins to complete.
• To access you need to Create an Account.

THIS WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO AUTHORISE WORK ON THE WPCG MEMBER FACILITIES OR ISSUE THE WPCG WORK CLEARANCE FORM.

CLEARANCE ISSUER

• The WPCG Work Clearance Program is designed to allow lower risk maintenance work to be carried out in a safe and controlled manner at WPCG member facilities.
• Accreditation allows you issue WPCG Work Clearances & Minimum Control Checklists
• To obtain accreditation you must complete the online pre-learning course, attend the face-to-face training course and complete an online test.
• Clearance Issuers do not need to do the Retail Site Induction program

PERMIT OFFICER

• The WPCG Work Permit Program is designed to allow higher risk maintenance work to be carried out in a safe and controlled manner at WPCG member facilities.
• Accreditation allows you to issue WPCG Work Permits and High Risk Certificates.
• To obtain accreditation you must attend the face-to-face training course, complete 6 buddy work permits and complete a desktop and field assessment.
