Cheap Trick – Dream Police

Couldn't get enough of the Dream Police when I was in 6th grade, finally picked up the album many years later...
the rest of the album, to me, sounds like a coke-inspired mess - doesn't hold up musically as well as 'At Budokan'

Sounds amazing. No issues with this press regarding audio quality. Definitely not a bright Japanese press.
Dynamic, sweet, airy highs, and great soundstage.

I recently revisited my Cheap Trick catalog and listened to the first six CT albums which I consider their best works. At the end of the day I was surprised to rank Dream Police as the cream of the crop. Heaven Tonight had always been my fave, but this just edges it out!

Classic album. The EQ is too hot on Zander’s vocal and midrange washed out. The bass and drums are solid without being overpowering. No space or stage to the music, doesn’t do the music justice.

A dreadful sounding edition with the polarity seemingly inverted but either way, avoid this.

Cheap Trick is a National Treasure!
They are the embodiment of American and British influenced Rock music. Full of riffs, hooks, and great vocals. The Dream Police is a fun record from beginning to end. Everyone who loves Rock music should listen to Cheap Trick!

This 24-bit remaster, coming 36 years after its debut, sounds great. The clarity, dynamics, and mix are perfect. There's no ear daggers or boomy bass to contend with. I can't find any faults at all.

My copy includes a picture flexi of “Oh Boy” (3:07) and “Oh Boy (Instrumental version), as well as one page sign up page for their Japanese fan club “Cheap Trick Hot Hot Company”!

My copy was a gift and it's a little scuffed on the record but the sleeve. Means this was well played by someone who took care of their records. The mix is great accept I would have brought the vocals a little more out.
