Who we are

EDF power solutions UK and Ireland, previously EDF Renewables UK and Ireland, is one of the most technology diverse renewable energy companies across England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. We are specialists in developing and operating wind, solar, and battery storage technology as well as supporting businesses in achieving their sustainability aims with private wire and commercial and industrial solar.

Our goal is to have 10 GW of operational projects by 2035 to support the UK and Ireland in moving to clean power and do whatever we can to ensure communities and businesses enjoy access to a diverse, reliable, and affordable low-carbon energy mix for decades to come.

What we do

Our job is to make it easier for all of us – including businesses – to enjoy a low carbon energy system as part of a sustainable future for ourselves and for future generations.

Currently, we have dozens of operational sites – including onshore and offshore wind farms and solar and battery storage projects across the UK and Ireland.

Working with communities

Wherever we operate, we aim to build good relationships with the local community. We aim to be good neighbours, to work with local groups, and to make a positive contribution to the people and places where we work.

We do this through initiatives such as our community fund and providing resources for local schools.

Where we work

Our rapidly expanding portfolio of operational projects spans Scotland, England, Wales, Ireland and includes 48 operational sites, including 35 onshore wind farm, 2 major offshore developments, six solar and five battery storage sites.
