We are proud to celebrate the 11 MRS Members and Volunteers who are part of the recently announced National Academy of Engineering's 2026 Class. Election to the National Academy of Engineering is among the highest professional distinctions accorded to an engineer.
Celebrate the 18 newly selected MRS Fellows, honored for their distinguished and internationally recognized contributions to materials research. They will be recognized at the 2026 MRS Spring Meeting & Exhibit in Honolulu, Hawai'i.

Early Career Scholars in Materials Science 2027
The Twelfth Annual JMR Issue to promote outstanding research by future leaders in materials science. JMR publishes the latest advances about the creation of new materials and materials with novel functionalities, fundamental understanding of processes that control the response of materials, and development of materials with significant performance improvements relative to state of the art materials. JMR welcomes papers that highlight novel processing techniques, the application and development of new analytical tools, and interpretation of fundamental materials science to achieve enhanced materials properties and uses.
MRS is an incredible community of scholars, innovators, and engineers driven to have a positive impact on the world through new materials. Being an MRS Member gives me access to forefront research spanning materials synthesis, characterization, and applications. The Spring and Fall MRS conferences are among my favorite annual meetings to connect with the community, and the monthly MRS Bulletin is a great way to stay informed about emerging topics in the interim. The MRS community has provided me with the support, inspiration, and resources to accomplish frontier science throughout my career, and I'm grateful to be an MRS Member!
