Hello, I’ve recently moved into a house and i have old brick and what looks like an extension with new brick at rear of my terraced house. I spotted that the vertical mortar line was left out in a few areas. Mainly at the foundation, and a few random places like rite above my back door. So the other day I had mortar left over and pointed them. I’ve recently heard about weep holes, now there wasn’t any cavity weep vents inserted I would’ve noticed and realised to leave alone. My question is where are weep holes meant to be? And should I rake the mortar back out and insert cavity weep vents?

In June I'm looking to have a number of smallish jobs completed around the outside of my house, all of which have arisen due to settlement over time. These include repointing between a pathway and the house, another repointing job between steps down the side of the house and the house itself, another involves rebuilding a back doorstep, another is patching a low wall which has moved, and another small wall that needs patching or rebuilding. I've put off doing these for a number of years but now want to definitely get them done in mid to late June. When should I post the job and pictures - is it around now or should I leave it to March, April or May?

I have an old boiler cupboard that I would like to remove some shelving from and new shelves put in. The cupboard also requires plastering and painting. What order should everything be done in?
