Ten bays have been available for self swabbing, with participants receiving their test results by text from the NHS to their personal mobiles, usually within 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>A carefully managed timetable has allowed teaching staff and individuals to pre-book convenient time slots and teaching programmes have been rescheduled to allow students to access the service in their study bubbles.<\/p>\n<p>Students are being asked to repeat the flow test at college until the end of next week, and will then be provided with home testing kits.<\/p>\n<p>The testing team are staff volunteers who have been through strict online and onsite training before taking up their roles, supported by members of Reaseheath\u2019s Student Association and by a 27-strong team from Nantwich Buddies, a community volunteer support network.<\/p>\n<p>Principal Marcus Clinton said: \u201cComplex and large scale planning went into ensuring that our test centre was ready to process such a vast number of tests each day and our teams have done a fantastic job supporting our students and visitors through the process.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019d like to thank everyone for their efforts to help keep our campus safe and I\u2019m particularly proud of the excellent way our students have conducted themselves when taking the tests. It\u2019s wonderful to have our students back on campus, where they belong, and able to access all the elements of their study they simply can\u2019t do on line.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mark Palethorpe, a Product Support Specialist for construction plant engineering company SMT GB, was one of a number of representatives from industry partners\u00a0 who had a positive experience in the test centre.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cI was very impressed with the efficiency of the whole procedure. It was well organised, felt very safe and I was quickly back to work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Final year undergraduate Luci Newall, a member of the test centre support team, added: \u201cIt\u2019s been a good experience to see how the process works first-hand. As a student, it has given me a lot of reassurance that Reaseheath is doing everything possible to keep its community safe, and I\u2019ve been able to pass that positive message on to other students.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nearly 57 million lateral flow tests have been delivered to schools, colleges and universities as part of the government\u2019s plan to reopen educational institutions following lockdown.<\/p>\n<p>Other safety measures which continue to be followed by Reaseheath campus-wide include regular hand washing or sanitising, face coverings being worn in classrooms and communal spaces and an adherence to social distancing.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\"
