{"id":46351,"date":"2015-05-05T13:52:01","date_gmt":"2015-05-05T12:52:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.reaseheath.ac.uk\/?p=46351"},"modified":"2015-05-18T15:12:01","modified_gmt":"2015-05-18T14:12:01","slug":"reaseheath-college-achieve-matrix-standard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.reaseheath.ac.uk\/reaseheath-college-achieve-matrix-standard\/","title":{"rendered":"Reaseheath College accreditation success"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following a rigorous four day evaluation by an independent external assessor Reaseheath College has been awarded the \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/matrixstandard.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">matrix Standard<\/a>\u2019 for the quality of our Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) service.<\/p>\n<p>The matrix Standard is a unique outcome-based quality accreditation, which confirms that the services the College provides are of the highest standard.<\/p>\n<p>In order to be awarded this standard, Reaseheath was required to show that it is able to deliver an effective IAG service that is impartial and objective; it is able to review, evaluate and develop the IAG service to bring about continuous improvement; encourages the take up of professionally recognised qualifications and the continuous professional development of their staff and services.<\/p>\n<p>The feedback from the external assessor identified a number of particular strengths that Reaseheath demonstrates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Dedicated staff with a clear commitment to implementing college values<\/li>\n<li>Robust and inspirational leadership and management, with a clear vision and a clear approach to strategic planning<\/li>\n<li>The competency framework has enabled the college to define the skills, knowledge and competencies required for every job role more effectively<\/li>\n<li>staff confirmed that the performance review process ensures that there are very strong links between the college aims and objectives and individuals\u2019 personal objectives<\/li>\n<li>The organisation of the HR team with Business Partners linked to departments is particularly effective.<\/li>\n<li>A strong induction process for staff, with a thorough mentoring process that works well<\/li>\n<li>The effective use of external partnerships to support the quality assurance process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Some comments made by students included in the report:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe team are very supportive and willing to share; they\u2019re helping me to know what I want to do in the future.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>\u201dTheir passion shows through; really inspiring.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>\u201cYou learn stuff about yourself you never would have.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThey\u2019ve given me my identity back.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>\u201cI was absolutely amazed by the support I got.
