Students and staff from all departments, some with goats, ponies and dogs from Reaseheath\u2019s Animal Management Centre and Zoo, gathered at the display on Friday at 11am to pay tribute with two minutes of silence and reflection.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n<div  class='avia-video av-av_video-b77a4002608ec0ada9b7dd648572aeb1 avia-video-16-9 av-no-preview-image avia-video-load-always av-lazyload-immediate av-lazyload-video-embed'  itemprop=\"video\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/VideoObject\"  data-original_url='https:\/\/youtu.be\/z0Dsnff5C9c'><script type='text\/html' class='av-video-tmpl'><div class='avia-iframe-wrap'><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1500\" height=\"844\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/z0Dsnff5C9c?feature=oembed&enablejsapi=1&origin=https:\/\/www.reaseheath.ac.uk&autoplay=0&loop=0&controls=1&mute=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div><\/script><div class='av-click-to-play-overlay'><div class=\"avia_playpause_icon\"><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\" id=\"style-css-av-av_one_full-15d750bd1b332b34c6e70b077ebbccdf\">\n.flex_column.av-av_one_full-15d750bd1b332b34c6e70b077ebbccdf{\nborder-radius:0px 0px 0px 0px;\npadding:0px 0px 0px 0px;\n}\n<\/style>\n<div  class='flex_column av-av_one_full-15d750bd1b332b34c6e70b077ebbccdf av_one_full  avia-builder-el-5  el_after_av_video  el_before_av_hr  first flex_column_div av-zero-column-padding  '     ><section  class='av_textblock_section av-av_textblock-2de302bf1aa3cf4c9157dbe6f50ac7eb '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>As well as remembering the soldiers and civilians who have and continue to lose their lives in conflict, the students also paid homage to the 16 million animals put into service during World War 1 and who endured horrific conditions transporting ammunition, ambulances, food rations and messages.<\/p>\n<p>Poppies, old photos and researched articles were on show throughout the college and included an Animal Management display about animals in war, a weeping window display by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reaseheath.ac.uk\/further-education\/courses\/floristry\/\">floristry<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reaseheath.ac.uk\/further-education\/courses\/horticulture\/\">horticulture<\/a> students, fabricated wreaths manufactured by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reaseheath.ac.uk\/further-education\/courses\/agricultural-engineering\/\">engineering<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reaseheath.ac.uk\/further-education\/courses\/motor-vehicle\/\">motor vehicle<\/a> students and historic photos and researched articles in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reaseheath.ac.uk\/equine\/\">equine<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reaseheath.ac.uk\/further-education\/courses\/agriculture\/\">agriculture<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reaseheath.ac.uk\/further-education\/courses\/food-technology\/\">food manufacture<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reaseheath.ac.uk\/entry-foundation\/\">foundation<\/a> departments. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reaseheath.ac.uk\/further-education\/courses\/events-management\/\">Business<\/a> students assisted with graphics.<\/p>\n<p>Food technology and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reaseheath.ac.uk\/bakery\/\">bakery<\/a> students also had a cake and biscuit sale to raise funds for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.britishlegion.org.uk\/\">The Royal British Legion<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.murphysarmy.org\/purple-poppy-campaign\/\">Murphy\u2019s Army Purple Poppy Appeal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Level 3 Diploma in Food Technology student Laura Mellor said: \u201cIt\u2019s very important that we, as students, remember what happened and who we lost, and also to make sure that atrocities like the two great wars never happen again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Peter and Kay Epton members of the Poppy Appeal team for the <a href=\"http:\/\/branches.britishlegion.org.uk\/branches\/nantwich\/branch-information\/history\">Nantwich and District branch of The Royal British Legion<\/a> attended the commemoration along with Jennifer Donald, Community Fund Raiser for The Royal British Legion\u2019s East Cheshire area.<\/p>\n<p>Peter said: \u201cReaseheath\u2019s students have put on a brilliant display and the whole tribute has been a tremendous success. It\u2019s important that the current generation remember the sacrifices of previous generations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jennifer added: \u201cThis is a fantastic example of young people saying \u2018thank
