The compatible version is the one where you'd run the cable towards the fans of the card (downwards) if you have it horizontally mounted, afaik.
For example, if I had my Gigabyte Gaming OC 5090 horizontally mounted, I'd need to get the reversed version, to route the cable downwards (towards the fans).
However, since it's vertically mounted, I wanted to route the cable behind the card, towards the backplate. Hence, I asked Thermal Grizzly to swap my order to the normal version, otherwise I'd get an ugly looking situation. Not to to mention my 90° MODDIY cable wouldn't fit probably.
Sidenote, they swapped my WireView Pro 2's version mid-order, I had it ordered for about a week before I realized my mistake. They swapped it and the delivery was on time regardless. Extra love to Thermal Grizzly!
