    Left a great force to join another today. Heavy heart as I leave friends and colleagues @MerseyPolice who have been such a big part of my family’s life. Thank you so much. A photo of my father (top left) in 1966 with the all conquering Merseyside Police team.

    20 people on yoga mats burning pieces of paper with negative thoughts written on them have now been given new pieces of paper by @MerseyPolice with the words ‘fixed penalty notice’ printed on them. Seriously, if we don’t back the ‘lockdown’ we are all in it for longer.

    Outstanding effort by officers @Cumbriapolice @cumbriapcc to save a man found hanging by bracing his feet on their shoulders and physically holding his weight for over 5 minutes until further help arrived. Mercifully, a life saved & our sincere best wishes for a full recovery.

    After extensive damage to her house from flooding and the loss many sentimental items, our colleague @MerseyPolice parades for duty as a call handler to complete a full night shift (leaving the pumps in her house to do their work). Humbled and for once, speechless.

    Festive Karma as offender approaches off duty Special Constable @Cumbriapolice @cumbriapcc with extendable baton and aggressively demands money from him. Male arrested and our off duty colleague still managed to get most of his Christmas shopping done.

    Outstanding bravery from three response officers @MerseyPolice who tackle to the floor, smother and first aid a male who was on fire. A timely reminder of the unpredictable and challenging nature of police work. Most importantly, a life saved & our best wishes for a full recovery

    Congratulations to PC Bryony Kenny @Cumbriapolice @cumbriapcc for a great arrest on only her third day with a tutor constable. Proactive vehicle stop, foot chase, arrest of male with drugs etc. Resulting house search results in recovery of more drugs, cash & imitation firearm. 👍

    Epic combined search (police, coastguard, CFRS & drone) for suicidal female dramatically concludes as two police officers @Cumbriapolice @policedogunit locate the female in a coastal lake and enter the water (up to necks) to pull female to safety !👏

    Busy 24hrs for @policedogunit @Cumbriapolice @cumbriapcc PD Echo - 2 car thieves tracked/arrested & then drug dealers tracked for 1.5 miles & arrested. PD Astra - locates suicidal male. PD Murphy - tracks domestic violence offender & ‘politely’ removes hammer from him ….

    In the first hour of his first ever shift @Cumbriapolice @cumbriapcc PC Connor Faulder was fighting with two prolific and dangerous offenders armed with knives (& wearing body armour). Assisted by colleagues, males arrested & charged with numerous offences. Welcome to Cumbria.

    Busy 48hrs @MerseyPolice with arrests for murder & the recovery of firearms, knives, cash & drugs. With over 1,000 Covid fixed penalties issued in 3 weeks, we would prefer to focus on the former. Please help us support the NHS and keep Merseyside safe by supporting the Lockdown.
