    Congratulations to Commander Roberta O’Brien who has become the highest ranking female in the history of the #IrishNavy. Cdr O’Brien was amongst the 1st females to join the NS in 1995 & the 1st female ship’s Captain, assuming command of LÉ Aisling in 2008 #womeninleadership 🇮🇪

    It is with deep regret that the Navy can confirm that our colleague and friend L/S Conor Kiely passed today onboard LÉ Róisín after being found in an unresponsive state by his crewmates.The Navy would like to express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of L/S Kiely

    Congratulations to the members of the 3rd Combined #Diving Course who successfully completed 11 weeks of intense #training earlier today. Having received their initial qualification, the 3 new #military #divers will now undergo a further 5 week mixed gas course. Bravo Zulu 🇮🇪

    Today we said a sad goodbye to LE Eithne as the HPV departed the Naval Base for the final time. Built in Verolme in 1984, L.E. Eithne served Ireland for 38 years on missions at home and abroad prior to decommissioning as flagship. #navalservice #navy #bemore #oglaighnaheireann

    When needs must; LÉ GEORGE BERNARD SHAW drives through a force 8 gale earlier today after a child was swept out to sea on an inflatable boat in #Smerwick Harbour. Lucky they were able to make their way ashore & #P64 was stood down along with @IrishCoastGuard R115 & @FenitRnli 🇮🇪
