After successful suppression efforts by fire crews and significant rainfall, Timmins 9 is Under Control. Bucketing helicopters are supporting 13 ground crews as they patrol and action hot spots within the perimeter. Heavy equipment and the IMT have wrapped up their operations.
The Incident Management Team in place at wildland fire Timmins 9 would like to remind the public that aircraft and drones must respect the NOTAM that remains in place in the area of this fire. See the map and details at ontario.ca/fireupdates and on NavCanada’s website.
Thanks to Ontario FireRangers, aerial fire suppression teams & heavy equipment operators, Timmins 9 is Being Held at 3151 hectares. As the first group of fire crews are returning to their home bases, 4 new FireRanger crews & 6 type-2 sustained attack crews have arrived in Gogama.

Our crews continue to make excellent progress responding to wildland fire Dryden 13, located in the southern portion of Wabakimi Provincial Park.
As of June 13, this fire is not under control and is currently measuring 14,100 hectares.

Ontario FireRangers continue to establish & consolidate hose lines around the perimeter of Timmins 9, while heavy equipment crews are building control lines. Recent rainfall has contributed to reducing fire behaviour. This wildland fire has been remapped to 3,151 hectares.

Cochrane 5 is now under control at 135 hectares as of yesterday afternoon.
