It is with profound disappointment that we report the industry CEOs have walked away from the bargaining table after refusing to counter our latest offer. We have negotiated with them in good faith, despite the fact that last week they presented an offer that was, shockingly, worth less than they proposed before the strike began.

Our Pension & Health caps have been substantially raised, which will bring much needed value to our plans. In addition, the deal includes numerous improvements for multiple categories including outsize compensation increases for background performers, and critical contract provisions protecting diverse communities. Studio execs plan to speak with the National Association of Theatre Owners to convince SAG-AFTRA that a long strike could damage the theatrical industry. The long strike would be caused by studios continuing to refuse to pay actors & writers fairly. (Source: Deadline)
