“Because you love me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue you; I will protect you, for you acknowledge my name. Call on me, and I will answer; I will be with you in trouble, deliver you, and honor you. With long life I will satisfy you and show you salvation.” Psalms 91

“My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.” James 1:19-20

Watching #911 documentaries, and rewatching coverage of that awful day, something has come to mind. I miss the days of media covering the actual news of our nation and referring to our elected officials with less bias. #911NeverForget #USA 🇺🇸

“if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

Love must be sincere. Hate evil; cling to good. Be devoted to each other. Honor each other over self. Never lack in zeal. Serve the Lord with spiritual fervor, joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people. Be hospitable. Romans 12:9-13

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer & petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts & minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

While swimming, I put Helens hair in a #ponytail to keep wet hair out of her face. ME - “sorry, I’m not good at ponytails” HELEN - “it’s ok daddy. You’re a big daddy, only little daddies are good at ponytails.” The best Father’s Day gift she could’ve given me, @ErinRNapier

“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

At dinner, Helen said, “daddy you’re so handsome, but not as handsome as Elliott.” 4 hours later, found out I’m in the @people magazine sexiest men list… take that Elliott.

“He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.” Matthew 28:6-7
