Mercer win is another example of why recruits shouldn't be so caught up in levels/school names. You can win and be on the big stage anywhere

- Parents of HS basketball players should go to a college game at every level (D1,D2,D3,NAIA,JC) just to understand how good all levels are
- Everyone is worried about size of guards and positions. I need a 2, I need a 3. No, you needs some dogs that you can let loose on both ends
- JUCO coaches have been quickly flipping rosters long before the transfer portal existed. Good to see some AD’s & search firms are finally starting to realize this & are considering JC coaches for head coaching gigs directly from JUCO or after a stint as a D1 assistant
- JUCO Players: Don't rush the season to get to the next level. Some of the best times u will have take place at JC. I know, I played JC ball

- JUCO is a place for many to get a 2nd chance. Gives some a clean slate & chance to prove themselves on/off court. Don't take it for granted
- High school players: If u think u can play D1, turn on CBS at 3pm EST and watch the NCAA D2 Championship Game and then reevaluate ur game
- If was a college coach, I’d be recruiting some ass-kickers this off-season. Don’t care where they come from (HS, JUCO, transfers). Obviously have to be able score the ball at a high level, but toughness, defense and rebounding win games, especially late in the season.
