Today Labor MPs have voted to protect the gas corporations from paying their fair share of tax. One Nation and the LNP didn’t even bother to show up.

- Replying to @EWatsonBrownThe major parties have failed to support a tax that is incredibly popular, and would raise $17 billion a year that could fund real cost-of-living relief.Massive gas corporations have donated millions to the major parties, while we also see senior Ministers and even the PM parroting gas lobby talking points. It’s clearly paid off in the vote today.
- Sanctions against extremist Israeli Ministers are welcome but should have happened a long time ago. Australia must now act with the rest of the world to end arms trade with Israel, and ensure food and aid flows to the people of Gaza who are on the brink of famine.
- Labor has just approved Woodside’s North West Shelf project extension. Dutton promised to do it in 30 days - Labor couldn’t even wait that long. One of the world’s largest LNG projects will now run until 2070 - a disaster for our climate and environment.
- I’m so grateful for the support that I’ve received here from our wonderful Ryan community. We are still watching the count closely, so stay tuned!
- It’s finally Election Day, and Ryan could determine who wins government. Here, it's the Greens standing in the way of Dutton & his Trump-style agenda - education cuts, corporate tax handouts and winding back climate action. Today we can keep Dutton out, and get Labor to act.Replying to @EWatsonBrownSince you elected me as your MP, I've helped negotiate billions for affordable housing & renewables in Parliament. Locally, I've established 3 free meal programs and a community pantry, got $ for new bike lanes, and more. By re-electing me, we can continue the progress together.Real, positive change doesn't happen overnight, but it starts with your vote. And it sure won’t happen if we keep voting for the same 2 major parties. So this election, vote for what you believe in. Vote 1 Greens to keep Dutton out, and get Labor to act.
- "I'm not a scientist" says Dutton when asked if Australia is seeing the impacts of climate change. That's right, he's not. So maybe he should listen to those who are? Scientists DO know. They've been clear: climate change is real, it's affecting us now, and we need to act.
- Seriously, why is Australia still spending billions to align itself with Trump's USA? If Trump wants a 'liberation day', let's liberate ourselves now - starting by cancelling the wasteful, ridiculous AUKUS.
- Very sad to hear that ADF personnel injured in the truck collision in Northern NSW were from Enoggera Barracks here in Ryan. They were valiantly assisting a community in desperate need. Our thoughts go to the families of those injured as we wish them a speedy and full recovery.I will be reaching out to Enoggera Barracks to give what support my team and I can at this trying time. Thank you to all who are going above and beyond to assist our communities affected by Alfred and this devastating event.
- HUGE news that the Govt is considering buying Rex Airlines. The Greens called for this in July last year. We don't need more taxpayer $$ propping up private companies. Public ownership is the ONLY way to get an airline run in the interest of all Australians.
- Elizabeth Watson-Brown repostedThe Liberals lost the blue-ribbon seat of Ryan in 2022 not to a teal... but a green. Party MP Elizabeth Watson-Brown tells @rachelrwithers that the Libs have changed too much to get the seat back.
- I spoke to @rachelrwithers about how I mucked up my retirement by getting elected, Dutton and his billionaire backers coming after my seat, and why I'm proud to be on team Green. Read the article here:
