    People crying over having to do basic algebra when they were 13 is one of the more common complaints about public school and maybe they're right. People of their caliber should be out of school by 10 or 11 I'd say. Put them in the fields.

    We don't have good trains anymore because our bureaucracy is to thick to get anything done. Also, Americans don't use trains, and getting us to use trains would be a big shift in the duopoly of cars and planes that most of us are familiar with. It's not a geographical problem.

    We were one of the first countries to use railroads for long distance travel, and that was with 19th century technology. It's obviously possible with modern technology and modern population density.
