00:00- I don’t think folks out there understand what a difference it makes seeing people try to pronounce Korean names that include syllables like 동(‘Dong’) without them laughing or making a joke about it. It was truly dehumanizing and so hurtful when they did, and it was ALL the time.

- Despite what a lot of folks seem to think, anti-racism is not about kindness and it's not about embracing all races. Anti-racism is about repair, restoration, and sacrifice where it's necessary. It's about meaningful action, not about feelings and words.
- Replying to @NickChoJust trying to add a little more nuance to the translation here. Folks are missing the interviewer ending with “아유,” a classic Korean expression of empathetic exasperation. 🙃
