In China, almost every machine shop has an EDM machine. In the USA, barely any have one. They're centralized largely in aerospace. You need EDM to make tooling. You need tooling to scale production. We need many MANY affordable EDMs all over the Western world to compete.

We can't build new hardware in the United States without robots, we can't build robots in the United States without a better hardware supply chain. Who is working on solving this chicken and egg problem.

they don’t want you to know this, but you don’t need to use an encoder with brushed DC motors You can take readings of the AC noise for free. I have 20,000 counts at home
