I will be presenting my last show on Radio 2 next Friday. I had intended fulfilling my contract until the end of March but the BBC has decided it wants me to leave earlier. Let’s enjoy the week ahead!

- Totally shocked to hear the news about the great Steve Wright. We were planning lunch to celebrate the award of his richly deserved MBE. An outstanding and innovative broadcaster whose listeners loved him. What a loss to the world of radio.
- Steve Wright asked his colleagues not to mention his last Big Show on R2 so we didn’t. On Twitter though I can say what a giant of radio he is and how much we’ll all miss that daily presence; bright, engaged and engaging. Go well, friend!
- Such shocking sad news about Paul O’Grady. A unique and brilliant broadcaster who brightened the nation.
- So sorry to hear the news about the great Johnnie Walker. Not only was he a wonderful broadcaster but also a man of great personal strength and kindness.
