The SCOTS are honoured and delighted that HM The King will be our new Colonel in Chief, and that HRH The Princess Royal will be our Deputy Colonel in Chief. Both have long associations with the Regiment and it’s antecedents and we look forward to welcoming them.

In 1929 Princess Louise, presented a Shetland Pony the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. This pony was named Cruachan. When the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders became 5 SCOTS, the regiment adopted Cruachan as our own. We now continue this proud tradition #WeAreInfantry #TBT
