This year we had our Thanksgiving feast at Grandma and Grandpa Pikus’s home. Before we left, Kassidi and the kids had a great time making some Thanksgiving goodies and crafts. After dinner, we went to the movies to see Legend of the Guardians. It was Great. We had a fun weekend with the cousins and Shauna even found time to take Ashley, Brianna, Kassidi and Jayden to the madness sales at midnight. She cured them of ever wanting to go again. Jayden was the only one who bought anything… a remote control race car.

Color Me Rad

So our friends Kristine and Tommy own a franchise “Color Me Rad” and invited us to go down to St. George to run the race. I helped out in September with a race in Texas, but it is much more fun being in the middle of everything. Jayden decided to run with his friend Noah and Skyler stayed with Taylor and me. Taylor’s mom took Aysia and Auri and stayed back and Mikelle and John’s house. I was really surprised and proud of Skyler. We ran almost the whole 5K run. It seemed a little shorter than a 5K, but probably only because at every Kilometer we entered a colored chalk zone. At the end we had a chalk blast where everyone threw chalk in the air at the same time. What a great time. We are excited to do it again.

"The magic of a moment..." for my kids reflections contest this year was "the first snowfall of the year" for Aysia, family "memories" for Jayden and, watching his Aunt compete at the Olympics for Skyler. Aysia competed in the artistic side of the contest and the boys composed and played songs on the piano. Aysia and Skyler took 2nd place and Jayden 1st. They were all good enough to make it to the district level. Congrats to all my kiddos. Your'e amazing!!!

I always look forward to the kids programs. Aysia's was Hawaiian themed and Skyler's was Thanksgiving themed. They both did a great job. Aysia even got to dance a little and show us some of her Hawaiian moves.

Once again, here we are. We thought Vancouver was the end for Noelle, but God had a different plan for her. She is back to racing and is doing an amazing job. She has improved her push time by .2 seconds which is huge in the sport of skeleton. I am so proud of her. She took first place at all of her team trials and first at the first 2 America's cup races. She will have 2 more races in Calgary before going back onto the world cup circuit. I am sad that she will be leaving for 3 months straight. They decided not to come home for the holidays due to Traycen being difficult on airplanes and the whole jet-lag thing. They would only be able to come back for 10 days, so they have decided to just stay in France and enjoy a small Christmas together. Good Luck Noelle.
