Sometimes....

Image
Sometimes little girls give you a run for your money.

Sometimes they stick giant acorn seeds up their noses.

Sometimes you have to pull said seeds out with tweezers, which little girls dislike more than the seed in their nose.

Sometimes they take off their diapers during nap time.

Sometimes you have to sanitize the whole crib, because sometimes they find "brown stuff" in their diaper, and think it's paint.

Sometimes they pinch you and say "Owww."

Sometimes they get boogies on their finger and say "Ewwww."

Sometimes all they want to eat are animal crackers.

Sometimes they run away from you when they know they're being naughty.

But they always melt your heart, and their smiles always brighten your day.

To all the mommies of little girls....enjoy!

Book of Mormon stories...

So, last night we were reading our nightly scriptures, which has been the "real" Book of Mormon lately, as opposed to the Book of Mormon stories with the pictures. I read and then Malachi wanted to read to me out of his Book of Mormon. His B of M must be a little different than mine because his verse said "And it came to pass an angel came and destroyed the castle." Andrew and I could not contain the laughter, we tried, but failed. Oh that boy makes my heart happy.

Miss Eva turns one!! She has been such a blessing in our lives. She makes me laugh, she melts hearts with her sweet smile, her giggle is contagious, she gives great kisses and even says "mwah", she lets you know how she feels (you get a head shake and corresponding mm-hmm or mm-mmm, it's hilarious), she loves animals in a very squealy "I want to touch that" sort of way, she is just as loud today as the day she was born and that's saying something, she has a fabulous gap between her two front teeth which just accentuates her cuteness, she is a daredevil, she has no desire to walk (which is fine with me) especially when we try to get her to walk while holding our hands she will actually raise her little legs in protest, she does however like to walk behind her doll stroller she got for Christmas, she is quite the independent little lady, she says mommy, dada, owie, moh (more), duh (done), and she does a lot of communicating by pointing, she has pointed at things she wants for a long time which is nice, she raises her arms really high when she's all done eating and if I don't get her out right away she let's me know with some serious sqwuaking that she wants out NOW, she loves her brother and wants to do anything he does, he loves her too even when she plays with his Hot Wheels, she loves the slides at the park, she gets really excited when we go outside, she is so happy, and we love her to pieces and are so grateful she is part of our family.

A very retro Christmas

Image
I like our tree this year. I made all of these ornaments, they're made of felt with a vintage feel. Super kid friendly, which is a necessity when you have an all tile floor.

The branch Christmas party was great! Malachi danced with his best friend, as you can see they were having a good time.

Santa meet Eva, Eva Santa.

She may not like the big guy, but she likes his accessories!

There is no such thing as a good picture of multiple children, even if there are just two, so put these next two pictures together and that's as good as it gets.

Love this sweet face!

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas!
