Yojimbo Überblick
Yojimbo ermöglicht es Mac-Nutzern, den täglichen Informationsüberfluss am Arbeitsplatz und zu Hause mühelos und sicher zu verwalten, selbst über mehrere Computer hinweg. Yojimbo speichert verschiedene Datentypen: Textnotizen, Passwörter, Web-Lesezeichen, Produktseriennummern, PDFs und Web-Archive.
Die Eingabe von Daten in Yojimbo folgt vertrauten Gesten der Mac-Benutzeroberfläche wie Kopieren und Einfügen, Ziehen und Ablegen, einem Schnell-Eingabefeld oder PDF-Diensten aus dem Druckmenü. Die Suche und der Abruf sind sofort, entweder mit der integrierten Suche von Yojimbo oder dem Spotlight-Suchsystem in OS X.

Wichtige Hinweise
- Yojimbo 4.6.3 erfordert macOS 10.13.6 oder neuer. Es wird nicht auf älteren Versionen von macOS ausgeführt.

- Das Anwendungssymbol wurde aktualisiert, um ein konformereres Erscheinungsbild auf macOS 11.0 und neuer zu bieten.
Fehlerbehebungen
- Ein Absturz wurde behoben, der auftrat, nachdem das "Sync"-Einstellungsfeld aktiviert wurde und dann davon gewechselt wurde, bevor die Datengrößenberechnung abgeschlossen war (was bei sehr großen Datenspeichern passieren konnte).
- Eine Änderung wurde vorgenommen, damit Yojimbo Sie benachrichtigt, wenn während des Synchronisierens Fehler auftreten; und wenn das Synchronisieren aktiviert war, Ihr iCloud-Konto jedoch nicht verfügbar ist, wird die Benachrichtigung dies anzeigen.
- Ein Fehler wurde behoben, der die iPad-Synchronisierung unter bestimmten Netzwerkbedingungen beeinträchtigen konnte.
- Kosmetische Korrekturen in einigen der Toolbar-Elemente wurden vorgenommen, um den richtigen Popup-Menü-Pfeilindikator zu verwenden und abgeschnittene Bilder bei der Ausführung auf macOS 13 zu beheben.
- Das Scannen wurde in einen einigermaßen funktionierenden Zustand zurückgebracht. (Jede frühere Erwähnung der TWAIN-Kompatibilität ist obsolet; ein angeschlossener Scanner, der im Einstellungsfeld "Drucker & Scanner" sichtbar ist, sollte funktionieren.)

Version: 4.6
This used to be a $30 app. Now it's really, like, a $10 app sometimes featured up with a trunk full of junk. But most fo the junk has been subsumed by Apple or other vendors who do it better. I am on 4.1.3, always look at updates, but haven't seen anything compelling in years and years.

No reviews here since 2014, except one in 2018. Strange. At any rate, I had Yojimbo v1, which I thought was useful, but not as useful as many other apps. I've since used Eagle Filer, KeepIt, Evernote, OneNote (which I've refused to use because it's built by Microsh*t), SimpleNotes, Apple Notes. I've now returned to Yojimbo v.4.5, which is a simple, very intuitive note keeper that is straightforward to use and can import notes from many other note-keeping apps (e.g., my 1165 notes from KeepIt).

I use Yojimbo and as far as it goes find it excellent. It never crashes, and the syncing to the iPad version works well. However it is rather limited. Three things in particular that are shortcomings that limit my use of it are as follows:
1. There are templates for passwords and serial numbers, but not for credit cards, and I can't see that there is any way of adding templates for anything like this that you might want to store in the app.
2. Although you can encrypt text notes and images, you don't seem to be able to encrypt any items using templates (the encrypt option in the contextual menu is greyed out). This is a pretty significant shortcoming.
3. Finally, the absence of an iPhone app is frustrating, and furthermore you can only apparently sync to one iPad. If you want to add another iPad for syncing you have to delete the existing one.
These limitations are a shame because otherwise this is a decent product. I live in hope that a v5 will come along which fixes these shortcomings.

Can't believe they still sell this. Not sure what on earth people think makes this worth $30 bucks considering the free and paid alternatives which are far better and developed far more actively and empathetically.
