Docker Desktop for Windows, without admin privileges
As with most of my blog posts, I’m writing this as it’s the sort of issue that I would resolve and quickly forget.
If you are using a corporate or work PC then the chances are you will need to login as an administrator to install software, which makes sense. You may or may not have those privileges, if you don’t your admin will need to do this for you post Docker Desktop install.
In short, you’ll need to add the non admin user that you sign in with to the docker users group in Computer Management. You’ll need to do this as and admin, or get an admin to do it for you.
