<thead>

The thead tag, or Table Head element, groups header content in a <table>.

Syntax

Similar to an HTML document, the <thead> tag is used (like <header>) within the <tbody> tag and with a footer (<tfoot>) to designate each part of a table. The <thead> tag must have one or more <tr> tags.

      <th>This is the heading for the first column</th>
      <th>This is the heading for the second column</th>

    <tr>
      <td>First column contents</td>
      <td>Second column contents</td>

      <td>First column footer</td>
