How LCP Works
LCP is a proxy middleware designed to enable light client verification across chains,
utilizing both TEE and ZK provers. It supports IBC as the primary messaging standard that embeds a light client verification standard by default.

The Source chain writes a commitment to send a packet to itself.
Image
The Relayers detect the event and send a packet to the LCP.
Image
TEE Provers and ZK Provers in the LCP validate the packet and generate proof.
Image
Relayers pass the packet, along with the proof, to the Destination chain.

The LCP light client on the Destination chain validates the packet.

Why IBC?

IBC offers app developers open, highly composable, and permissionless messaging paths, while LCP provides open and secure connections. When these two merge, the control of all cross-chain connections is placed entirely in your hands.
IBC is a truly open and standardized protocol for interoperability. It acts as a general-purpose, permissionless messaging standard with a proven track record and the largest developer community. As part of its design, it includes light client verification by default, ensuring secure and reliable cross-chain communication with Light Client Proxy (LCP).

What’s TOKI?

TOKI is a cross-chain bridge app that uses LCP to provide secure and cost-effective cross-chain transfers. It's currently available on the testnets for Ethereum and BNB Chain, with a mainnet launch planned for Q1 2025.

Why did TOKI choose LCP?

Cross-chain bridges still face significant exploits, largely due to the centralized nature of their architecture. LCP and IBC enable secure cross-chain transactions with minimal trust by leveraging TEE and ZKP. That's why TOKI chose LCP for its solution.

What’s Progmat?

Progmat is a startup backed by Japan's largest financial institutions, building a platform for issuing and managing tokenized securities, stablecoins, and utility tokens. Stablecoins issued on the Progmat platform will be interoperable through IBC and LCP.

Why did Progmat choose LCP?

Making stablecoins available on multiple blockchains is key to driving the adoption of those issued on the Progmat platform. Progmat chose LCP for its trust-minimized design, ensuring the stablecoins remain secure and easy to use for everyone.
