The tragedy of this movie for me is this:
Initially, it's an extremely funny exploration of an interesting, brilliant premise: everyone's dreaming about Nicolas Cage.
Sadly, the movie completely destroys itself by taking its protagonist from "sort of likeable buffoon loser" to "disgusting old pissbaby pervert" with one very uncomfortable "hilarious fart joke" rape dream scene about halfway through.
From here it swerves into a dull and predictable cancel culture comedy of errors and becomes an annoying slog. It was so disappointing, because before this point it really did feel like a fresh, funny, clever film, and a beautiful vessel for Michael Cera to get to play a fun, non-dweeb type character.
What does this movie even have to say about "getting cancelled"? It's bad? What a groundbreaking idea.

An equally insightful and funny dark satire. There’s some really incredible editing in a few places. Cage gives one of his patented good performances, he’s honestly perfect for this role. Loved this one.
