There were good actual movies made around the same time that hold up today. I suppose if you wanted a silly outdated film about a foppish family, this is for you?

Pesci and Tomei are amazing and the writing is hilarious. I need to watch more Jonathan Lynn movies apparently.

Old-fashioned and overzealous. But probably sweet and magical for kids who don't realize that these properties merely camouflage a dark cationary tale about the contagiousness of madness.

Cool concept, but insanely bad writing that seemingly abandons key themes and lets them become inconsequential.

While there are a few ‘so-bad-it's-good' moments, King's foray into directing is mainly a slog. Not scary, not very funny, and with silly action, there isn't a whole lot to like.

Don't care how good it looks. It's action sequence after action sequence with no purpose and no end in sight. Tried to give this one a chance with the raving reviews but it's the same old shit as always.

I was decently entertained but, even without considering the behind-the-scenes brouhaha, I have a hard time believing that anyone could really take this film seriously.

Poetic parallels of human suffering and natural destruction. Humans burrowing under scorched earth while burnt, splintered trees reach toward the sky.
