loving the game! Is it not possible to score multiple dicees in one game? I was lucky enough to roll another but there’s no joker bonus or anything. Thanks!

Cheers.

That's right, you can only get one Dicee! per run. The main reason I chose to remove that mechanic is I think it serves to undermine an exciting two player game. Once someone gets a second dicee, the winner is most likely decided at that point.

To a lesser extent, chasing Dicee's can lead to frustration to some degree, so i like that the decision to remove it also makes for a generally more relaxing vibe when you can only get one dicee!

Its also a point of difference from the original ruleset, albeit a minor one.

But yeah, its mostly to keep multiplayer games exciting right up until the end of a match.

Fun, simple and challenging! Loved the idea and the execution was good. It has the potential to be something bigger.

got here from your article on random numbers on gb central! love the feel of everything in this dice game.

how to did you make this game I'm trying to make a monopoly board game  and I'm having trouble on the dice.

Hey there. I have broken down some of the code needed to implement dice in my recent GBSC article. There is a link to GBSC in my itch profile. The GBS discord is a great resource when needing help.

oh that's what you were making?! Nice!!!

x didn't work as (A) button

Hey, z is the A button, x is B button

Posting this here so I don’t forget. I think one thing that can improve the flow of the game is not requiring the player to press A to advance/dismiss the overlay/notices. Since they don’t overtake the screen (which I like) it feels counter intuitive to dismiss them. I know that would mess up the grand total display, so either that can be relocated to an empty space, like the bottom left of the dice area, or simply give the alerts a timer to disappear (like a few seconds).

Love playing this!

Cheers bud, I'll have a play around with that and see whats best. I'll also add a snap to roll on B press so you dont have to cycle through the dice for a re-roll in the next update.

Those dice rolling animations! A++

Thanks! Its quite a simple game but milking the game juice out of every moment I could was a fun design challenge.

It made me feel all DICEE inside. Excellent work, reminds me of how much I suck at this game, lol.
