Export, import, repeat, just to move some data?
Copy & paste at every level.
Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V a value, documents, collections or whole databases, between collections and between servers. Data moves as raw BSON in parallel, indexes included.
No Electron. No Java. No dependencies.
The MongoDB client that opens in a moment and never freezes on big collections. Query, copy between servers, back up and monitor your clusters without waiting.
Free for personal use: the full version, no limits, no registration. All platforms
We have worked with MongoDB every day for years. We remember everything that drove us crazy. So we fixed it.
Export, import, repeat, just to move some data?
Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V a value, documents, collections or whole databases, between collections and between servers. Data moves as raw BSON in parallel, indexes included.
The VPN dropped you at 80 % and you start over?
Wi-Fi drops, the VPN reconnects, the replica set elects a new primary: a copy, backup or restore waits it out for up to 10 minutes and continues right where it stopped. Nothing is copied twice, nothing starts over.
Most of the time, though, it is done before the VPN gets around to dropping you.
Lost in thousands of collections?
Even with tens of thousands of collections, type a part of the name and every open database on every server filters as you type, with * and ? wildcards and a count of the matches.
Seeing only the node you are connected to?
Role, lag, disk, cache and connections of every member, sorted by what needs attention, plus live performance charts for each node.
Nested documents squeezed into one unreadable cell?
Expand any sub-document of the table into another row: its fields appear under every document as name: value cells. Readable at a glance, no JSON digging.
No backups in your GUI?
Servers, databases or collections to a mongodump-compatible archive, optionally in an AES-256 ZIP that opens in 7-Zip. Restore into any server or database name, here or with mongorestore.
Still hand-writing filters and aggregation pipelines?
Ask in plain words in any collection tab, across a whole server or in the help. The assistant writes the filter or the aggregation and shows the result right in the tab. No query writing needed.
Bring your own Claude or OpenAI key, pick any model it offers (new ones show up without an update) and how hard it thinks. It is read-only and shows exactly what it would send before anything leaves your computer.
Guessing which index your slow queries need?
Atlas has a Performance Advisor. Now your self-hosted MongoDB has one too: the slow queries of every replica set member grouped by shape, with the index that would fix them, checked against the indexes you already have, ordered by impact.
It only reads what the server already keeps in memory. The profiler stays off, nothing is changed. Create the index from the suggestion in one click, or ask the AI to explain the finding.
Is staging really the same as production?
Pick a collection or a whole database on two servers and see what differs: only on the left, only on the right or changed, field by field, with the fields you don't care about ignored. Then sync the selected documents, or everything, in either direction.
Works across servers and survives a lost connection or an election like every BsonJet job. Other tools keep this for their top editions.
One native app. No Java, no Electron, no mongodump or other MongoDB tools to install. Opens in a moment and never freezes.
Members are detected for you; behind an SSH tunnel internal host names resolve and failover keeps working.
Your own on your computer, the team's in a store in your MongoDB. All AES-256-GCM encrypted, SSH keys and client certificates included.
Free for personal use. For work, one payment covers every update of its major version. No subscription.
The free official client, the expensive professional one, and the fast one (measured).

Your connections come with you. No copying of connection strings one by one.
Dozens of saved connections in your old tool?
.env file, or just paste your connection strings.Where another tool keeps a password encrypted only for itself, BsonJet asks for it once when you connect and can remember it.
“Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.”
That is how we build BsonJet. Nothing is there just to fill a feature list. Every part of it has its reason and its purpose.
From a quick look at one document to tuning indexes, in one keyboard-friendly window.
Filters, sort and projections in mongo shell syntax, with autocomplete of fields, operators and values.
Table, tree or JSON view. Edit the full document even behind a projection, insert many at once.
See how often each index is used, hide one to test without it, build compound, TTL, text or partial indexes.
Database commands and helpers like rs.status() or db.stats(), with templates, history and autocomplete.
Upload, download and search GridFS files. Add users, change passwords and roles without a single command.
Write your own tools in .NET, with their own tabs and ribbon commands. We are polishing the SDK.
Use the full version at home for free. At work, try it for free. When BsonJet becomes part of your day, buy a license that is yours for good.
