Claude Max.
More room.

01 / The comparison
Capacity is the upgrade.
Pro already includes Claude Code. Max makes sense when more room to work is worth the extra monthly cost.
Scroll the table to compare all three plans.
| The essentials | Pro | Max 5x | Max 20x |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly price | $20 / month | $100 / month | $200 / month |
| Per-session allowance | Baseline | 5× Pro | 20× Pro |
| Claude Code | Included | Included | Included |
| Claimable API credits | Not included | $100 / cycle | $200 / cycle |
| Annual billing | $200 upfront | Monthly only | Monthly only |
| Worth considering when… | Your current limits fit. | Pro regularly interrupts useful work. | You already outgrow 5x. |
Web prices before tax; mobile prices may vary. 5x and 20x describe session allowances, not guaranteed message counts or weekly multipliers. All plans have usage limits. Official pricing · Max limits · API credit terms
Read the fine print
More.
Not unlimited.
One shared allowance. Claude and Claude Code draw from the same subscription usage.
Sessions and weeks. Five-hour session limits and weekly limits both apply. Your model, context and tasks affect consumption.
No fixed message promise. A 20x label cannot tell you how many coding tasks you will finish.
02 / Do the math
What is your time worth?
Start with the $80 or $180 upgrade from monthly Pro. Estimate the useful time you would need to get back each month.
Your break-even point
1.6h / month
of additional useful time would cover the upgrade.
Max 5x minus Pro$80.00
Eligible API spend offset−$0.00
Extra monthly cost$80.00
Calculation, not a productivity benchmark. Max does not guarantee time saved or prevent every usage interruption.
03 / Two kinds of usage
The API is
a separate lane.
Max includes $100 or $200 in claimable monthly Claude API credits. They fund eligible API work in a linked Console organization, not more Claude Code or app extra usage.
New subscribers can claim after seven days. Unused credits expire at the end of the billing cycle. Treat them as value only if you would actually use them.

nbility.ai is a third-party API gateway from the team behind CCMAX. It has separate billing; Max API credits do not apply.
