What's new in version 1.7.2

Fixed

No more duplicate apps in the Uninstaller. Some apps download their next update into a hidden folder inside Applications before installing it, and that waiting copy was listed as a second install of the same app. Hidden update folders are now skipped.

Improved

More complete uninstalls. Uninstalling an app now also removes its crash-reporter folder and its folder in the macOS system cache. Only folders named after that exact app are matched, so other apps from the same developer keep theirs.
Claude Desktop leaves nothing behind. When Claude Desktop is signed in through Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex or a company gateway, it keeps its data in separate "Claude-3p" folders that uninstalling didn't find, leaving hundreds of megabytes behind. Those folders are now removed too. Claude Code's settings folder is not touched.
Safer with work Macs. Symantec, Broadcom and Alibaba Cloud Security protection software can now only be removed with the vendor's own uninstaller, as with other security software. Removing it any other way can leave it half-installed and still running.

I've been using DeepCleanMac for a few days, and it's been a pleasant surprise. The scan is fast, the interface is simple, and it found a lot of cache files and app leftovers I didn't even know were there.

Hi everyone , the previous VirusTotal warning was caused by a temporary false positive from Microsoft’s machine-learning scanner. The issue has been resolved and the latest DeepCleanMac build is now clean on VirusTotal (0/61 detections). Please if you are a valid developer which must see his software has a valid one for people to use, then resolve this issue. I am willing to acquire your software (a trial for x days would be nice for people really test your software) and even to contribute to it but I think you have to prove yourself that you're legit. its able to identify all the junk files which i never could have find my self. cleaned the 40+gb of junk on first scan.
