The details, without the guesswork.
Yes. DiskEzy can keep checking from the system tray with its main window closed. Choose a longer scan interval or pause tracking whenever you want. Scans use CPU, memory, and disk resources; the impact depends on your PC and how much you track. There’s no automatic game detection or performance guarantee.
DiskEzy tracks changes in file sizes across the drives and folders you choose. See daily additions, space removed from folders, and net change, then open a day to explore the files behind it. Tracking begins with your first scan; earlier activity isn’t available.
No. DiskEzy keeps your storage history on your PC. It reads file names and sizes, never file contents. License checks use your key and a private device code; they never send file details. Storage tracking works offline.
No. DiskEzy helps you understand what changed. It doesn’t delete, move, or modify your files. You decide what to keep and what to remove.
DiskEzy checks on your chosen schedule: every 5, 15, 30, or 60 minutes while the app runs. You can also check manually. Large drives take longer to scan, and files created and deleted between checks can be missed. It can keep tracking in the system tray when you close the window.
DiskEzy is a Windows desktop app. Choose individual folders or whole local drives, including removable drives. There isn’t a Mac or Linux version available right now.
DiskEzy measures file sizes in the locations you track. Windows also accounts for things like compression, system storage, and the Recycle Bin. Moving a file to the Recycle Bin can remove it from a tracked folder without freeing drive space yet.
