Doxide

Documentation and code coverage reports for C++ projects

Documentation

Doxide parses C++ source files for documentation /** comments */ (or /// comments) and @commands. It outputs documentation as Markdown, which can then be published for the web with a static site generator, or converted to other formats.

Parsing uses Tree-sitter, with support for CUDA extensions. To help with migration from other documentation tools, many standard Doxygen commands are supported.

Interactive code coverage reports

Doxide produces reports of test code coverage with interactive starburst charts and sortable tables for drilling into results.

Starburst chart depicting directory tree of C++ source files, each slice representing a file, coloured red to green, and marked with zero to four pips, according to its coverage by tests.

Accurate code coverage

Doxide reads gcov coverage data, and combines this with its parser to identify uninstantiated inlines and function templates, producing more accurate results than other tools.
