These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the FreeSurf apps, websites, and services ("FreeSurf," "we," "our," or "us"). By using FreeSurf, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you use the FreeSurf contractor network, section 9 applies to you in addition to the rest of these Terms.
FreeSurf provides free utility tools for freelancers and small businesses, including:
Some features use AI systems to generate outputs. AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for high-stakes decisions. You are responsible for reviewing and using AI outputs appropriately. FreeSurf does not provide legal, tax, accounting, medical, or nutritional advice.
Most FreeSurf tools work without an account. You may optionally create an account to sync data across devices. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You may not use FreeSurf in violation of law, to infringe the rights of others, or to submit harmful, fraudulent, or abusive content.

You retain ownership of the content you create using FreeSurf (invoices, link profiles, posts, generated audio, transcriptions, etc.). AI-powered features in FreeSurf apps (Natural Reader, Transcriber, Calorie Tracker) run on our own GPU infrastructure. Your text, audio, and photos are processed in memory on our servers and returned as output. We do not share your content with third-party AI companies such as OpenAI, Google, or Anthropic. No AI provider outside of FreeSurf's infrastructure receives, stores, or trains on your data. User content is never used to train, fine-tune, or improve AI models.
When used without an account, your data is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to locally stored data. If you choose to create an account, selected data may sync to our servers for cross-device access. You may delete synced data by contacting us or through in-app account management.
FreeSurf tools are free to use with advertising. In the future, optional subscriptions may be offered to remove advertisements across the FreeSurf ecosystem. Subscriptions will be purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and will be governed by those platforms' billing terms. FreeSurf's core tools will remain available at no cost.
FreeSurf and its service materials (excluding user-generated content) are owned by Planting Moon LLC or our licensors. The FreeSurf name, logo, and brand are trademarks of Planting Moon LLC. Portions of the FreeSurf platform are open source and subject to their respective licenses.
FreeSurf integrates with third-party platforms and services. Your use of those services may be subject to their respective terms and policies. FreeSurf is not responsible for the content, functionality, or practices of third-party services.
FreeSurf hosts content supplied by users and third parties — including profiles, listings, job posts, requests, reviews, ratings, messages, links, and posts ("User Content"). User Content is the sole responsibility of the person who submitted it. We do not author, review, verify, endorse, or guarantee any User Content, and we do not vet every user, profile, recruiter, employer, job poster, listing, or applicant.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law — including Section 230 of the U.S. Communications Decency Act (47 U.S.C. § 230) — FreeSurf is an interactive computer service and is not treated as the publisher or speaker of User Content provided by others, and is not liable for it. We make no warranty as to the conduct, accuracy, legitimacy, honesty, legality, or quality of any user, job poster, applicant, contractor, or client.
We are not obligated to monitor User Content, but we may review, remove, restrict, or refuse to publish any content at any time, for any reason, without notice. If you believe content is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful, report it to support@freesurf.tools; we will make a good-faith effort to review and, where appropriate, remove it.
FreeSurf operates a free directory that helps clients find contractors and freelancers and contact them directly. FreeSurf is a directory only. We are not a party to any agreement you make with another user, we are not the employer, agent, or broker of any contractor, and we do not perform, supervise, inspect, price, or guarantee any work.
Profiles, listings, ratings, reviews, descriptions, service areas, credentials, and any other content are supplied by users or compiled from third-party sources. We do not verify identity, licensing, certifications, insurance, bonding, criminal background, or the accuracy of any statement in a profile. Nothing on the platform — including ratings, review counts, "years of experience", badges, or search ranking — is a statement of fact, a professional recommendation, or an endorsement by FreeSurf. Content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Treat every profile as an unverified claim.
Contractors and freelancers on FreeSurf are independent third parties. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, joint venture, or franchise relationship between FreeSurf and any user. Contractors are solely responsible for their own licensing, insurance, taxes, permits, and compliance with applicable law.
If you are a client, you are solely responsible for evaluating and selecting a contractor before engaging them. You should independently verify, at a minimum, licensing and registration, insurance and bonding, references and prior work, and a written quote and scope of work. We encourage you to obtain multiple quotes and not to rely on any single profile. If you are a contractor, you are solely responsible for the accuracy of your profile and for the services you provide.
Any dispute arising from a job, quote, payment, workmanship, timeline, conduct, or communication is solely between the client and the contractor. FreeSurf is not a party to those disputes, has no obligation to mediate, investigate, arbitrate, or resolve them, and is not responsible for any loss arising from them. You agree to pursue any such claim directly against the other user, and you release FreeSurf and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from all claims, demands, and damages of every kind arising out of or connected with those disputes, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
You understand and accept that hiring or working for someone you met through an online directory carries inherent risk, including poor workmanship, property damage, personal injury, non-payment, fraud, and misrepresentation. You knowingly and voluntarily assume those risks.
By submitting a request, or by accepting these Terms on a page that displays a phone number, you consent to being contacted about your request by the contractor you selected and by FreeSurf — including by phone call, text message (SMS/MMS), and email, including through automated means. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to a text message or by contacting us.
We do not guarantee that you will find a contractor, receive a quote, be hired, be paid, or achieve any particular result. Appearing in search results is not a measure of quality, and we do not vet, rank, or recommend.
We may remove, suspend, or restrict any profile or content at any time, for any reason, without notice — including for suspected fraud, abuse, or legal risk — and we are not obliged to publish or retain any listing. By creating a profile you grant FreeSurf a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and distribute your profile content in connection with operating and promoting the service.
You must be at least 18 years old to offer services through FreeSurf or to submit a request.
FreeSurf is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including (where applicable) liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FreeSurf, Planting Moon LLC, and their officers, directors, employees, agents, and contractors from and against any claims, actions, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, judgments, settlements, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:
We may take over the exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification, in which case you agree to cooperate with us.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to the paragraph below, you and FreeSurf agree to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service through final and binding individual arbitration, and you and FreeSurf each waive the right to a trial by jury and to participate in any class, collective, or representative action.
You may opt out of arbitration by sending written notice to support@freesurf.tools within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. If you opt out, or if the arbitration provision is found unenforceable, disputes will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to venue there.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction, or from bringing an individual claim in small-claims court.
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Material changes will be noted with an updated effective date. Continued use of FreeSurf after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
